At the following you will be able to watch a demonstration of the Chichibu Yomatsuri traditional drumming style performed by the Motomachi community in Chichibu. They run one of the six yatai that are in the Matsuri celebrated every December 2nd and 3rd.

This is a private demonstration inside the Yatai at the following day of the Matsuri (2016, December 4th).

This style was taken by Den Tagayasu (Ondekoza founding director) to compose the well known taiko piece Yatai Bayashi.

Yesterday and today, Chichibu Yomatsuri is happening.
The well known piece "Yatai Bayashi" by Ondekoza and then Kodo, is an artistic arrange of the music of this festival.

Tras un mes y medio sin actividad retomamos con un artículo corto y muy fácil de leer.

El artículo nos habla del disco que Kenny Endo y Kaoru Watanabe grabaron juntos y que vió la luz dos años atrás, momento en que el artículo fue escrito.

Kenny Endo, el autor, también nos cuenta brevemente sus comienzos como taikista, como conoció a Kaoru Watanabe y como el lazo musical que ambos crearon maduró hasta llegar a la grabación de un disco.

Creemos oportuno mostrar este artículo ahora ya que Kenny Endo está en el medio de su tour festejando 40 años como taikista, por lo que aquí está nuestro pequeño reconocimiento a su carrera.

En Argentina se avecina otra gran producción de la filial argentina del grupo de eisa más grande del planeta.

Entérense cómo se fundó Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko en Argentina, donde la comunidad japonesas tiene una mayoría clara con sangre okinawense, y como fue la preparación de su 15 aniversario en el 2013.

Lean el relato del gran Guillermo Sesoko, quien comenzó cuando era un niño en aquel 1998 que se fundó Matsuridaiko en Argentina y que hoy es uno de los directores regionales de la franquicia en Sudamérica.

Acá les acercamos el nuevo artículo semanal.
Esta vez es una entrevista a uno de los protagonistas del wadaiko de esta generación. La primera persona no japonesa que el gobierno japonés otorgó una visa para enseñar taiko y ser taikista profesional en Japón.

Los invitamos a recorrer su carrera que incluye comienzos con Tiffany Tamaribuchi en Sacramento (EEUU), su ingreso al Ondekoza de Den Tagayasu y su paso por el Osuwa Daiko de Daihachi Oguchi-sensei para así comenzar su camino como solista y posteriormente fundar Wadaiko Tokara.

Una historia muy atrapante e interesante. Otro articulón!
