Esta Revista nació a principios de los 90’s influenciado por sonidos Heavy Metal, Speed Metal, Thrashers y Death/Grind. Desde su fundación se intento crear algo diferente, entonces así nació esto bajo el titulo: Debajo del Imperio Zine en 1996 y los primeros años fueron bastantes crudos e inestables, fue así que hacia finales de los 90’s fuimos tomando una forma más Heavy/Speed Metal como principal foco de promoción.
Cada edición costaba más llevarla adelante y es así que la apuesta por mantener a flote este barco fue más atrevido, a pesar que las ventas no estaban en nuestro favor. Es así que la situación nos llevo a volvernos digital en el 2011 y esto nos abrió las puertas al mundo en una manera muy directa, llegamos a tener muchos fans en todo el planeta y cada número era más esperado.
Durante finales del 2014 la revista tuvo un problema con la legalidad del nombre y finalmente empezamos el 2015 bajo el titulo: Thundersteel (The Real Cult Magazine) y así ese año fue fundamental para nuestra historia nos convertimos en la revista mas leída en habla hispana, conseguimos una expansión sin límites, durante el 2016 y 2017 tuvimos la enorme presión de regresar al formato físico, es así que empezamos el 2018 con nuestro retorno al clásico formato que nos vio nacer en los 90’s, las ventas fueron muy exitosas, incluso organizamos el festival Thunderfest y nos otorgo el placer de tener más atención de los fans, luego la revista tuvo el honor de ser editada en España, Chile, Perú, Cuba, Hungría, China y otros países. Siendo esto un hito inédito para Argentina.
En la actualidad la revista continúa expandiendo su forma y visión del Metal por todo el mundo, siendo la publicación argentina más reconocida en muchos países. Su estilo y contenido apoyando al Heavy Metal, Speed Metal y Death Metal es único, haciendo esto que sea valorado en muchos lados.
