😎Hoy presentamos a Sonia Clara Camina, parte del Equipo Editorial de Producción!!

🎓Sonia es geóloga egresada de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis y doctora en Ciencias Geológicas por la misma institución. Actualmente es estudiante postdoctoral en el grupo de Paleopalinología y Paleoecología Vegetal del Instituto IANIGLA de Mendoza.

🖥️ Se especializa en palinología paleozoica, con especial atención a los quitinozoos. Su investigación explora su taxonomía, bioestratigrafía, contexto paleoambiental y patrones paleobiogeográficos.

🔍 A través del estudio de este enigmático grupo de microfósiles, pretende abordar importantes cuestiones geológicas y contribuir a una comprensión más profunda de la historia evolutiva de la Tierra.

😎 Today we introduce Sonia Clara Camina, part of the Production Team!!

🎓 Sonia is a geologist with a degree from the National University of San Luis and a PhD in Geological Sciences from the same institution. She’s currently a postdoctoral student in the Paleopalynology and Plant Paleoecology group at the IANIGLA Institute in Mendoza.

🖥️ She’s specializing in Palaeozoic palynology, with a particular focus on chitinozoans. Her research explores their taxonomy, biostratigraphy, palaeoenvironmental context, and palaeobiogeographic patterns.

🔍 Through the study of this enigmatic group of microfossils, she aims to address major geological questions and contribute to a deeper understanding of Earth’s evolutionary history.

😎Hoy presentamos a Daniel Barasoain, parte del Equipo Editorial de Producción!!

🎓Daniel se graduó como geólogo en la Universidad de Zaragoza (España), tiene un Máster en Paleontología (Universidad de Valencia, España) y un Doctorado en Ciencias Biológicas (Universidad de Córdoba, Argentina). Actualmente es estudiante postdoctoral.

🖥️ Su investigación se centra en la historia evolutiva, la sistemática y la filogenia de los xenartros acorazados (Cingulata) de Sudamérica. Este grupo incluye armadillos y gliptodontes, así como otros taxones menos conocidos como los pampaterios y los peltefílidos (armadillos cornudos).

🔍 Su trabajo explora principalmente la diversidad registrada durante el Neógeno y el Pleistoceno, con contribuciones para Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia y Ecuador.

🎓 Daniel has graduated as a geologist at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), has a Master in Paleontology (University of Valencia, Spain) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (University of Córdoba, Argentina). Currently he’s a postdoctoral student.

🖥️ His research focuses on the evolutionary history, systematics, and phylogeny of armored xenarthrans (Cingulata) from South America. This group includes armadillos and glyptodonts, as well as other less known taxa such as pampatheres and peltephilids (horned armadillos).

🔍 His work primarily explores the diversity recorded during the Neogene and Pleistocene, with contributions for Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuador.

🎓José se graduó en Biología (orientación Paleontología) en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Obtuvo su doctorado en Ciencias Naturales en la misma institución. Actualmente trabaja en el Museo de La Plata y es investigador independiente del CONICET.

🦎 Su investigación se centra en la anatomía, sistemática, filogenia y paleobiogeografía de los reptiles marinos del Cretácico con énfasis en los plesiosaurios.
