Mientras trabajaba en el vídeo “The Late Fixture” para HausWasser, me di cuenta de que uno de los elementos se parece al cuadro “La apoteosis de la guerra” (1871) del artista Vasily Vereshchagin.
Le puse cierto significado a esta montaña de televisores viejos. Cuando dibujé esta parte realmente pensé que la propaganda mata.
Pero yo no tenía ninguna referencia. Esto sucedió por accidente.
Lo más probable es que algunas imágenes queden fijadas en nuestro subconsciente, que luego reproducimos inconscientemente.
Y posteriormente dibujé otra ilustración, utilizando ya como guía e inspiración el famoso cuadro de Salvador Dalí “La Cara de la guerra” (1940).

Las reflexiones sobre el dolor y las pérdidas que inevitablemente trae la guerra son un tema muy complejo y difícil que no puede dejar de entusiasmar al artista.

While working on the video “The Late Fixture” for HausWasser Micha Kaplan, I realized that one of the elements resembles the painting “The Apotheosis of War” (1871) by the artist Vasily Vereshchagin. I put a certain meaning into this mountain of old TVs, I when I’ve been drawing this part, I really thought that propaganda kills.
But I didn’t have any reference.
It happened by accident.
Most likely, some images are fixed in our subconscious, which we then unconsciously reproduce.
And subsequently I drew another illustration, already using Salvador Dali’s famous painting “The Face of War” (1940) as a reference and inspiration.

Reflections on the pain and losses that war inevitably brings are a very complex and difficult topic that cannot but excite the artist.

This is not a commercial project.

❤️❤️❤️ This masterpiece by HausWasser, quite sad and full of sorrow, instantly evoked in my imagination a chain of images and a story that I tried to tell, draw and animate.
These are quite personal emotions and feelings of a person who lost his home and his former life due to the outbreak of war.
But these are also stories about hope, about freedom and about the imaginary world of a creative person.
I want to dedicate this work to my talented and amazing daughter and my amazing and talented goddaughter - both are artists and the bright young generation who will make this world a better place! And also to all people who have the courage to resist evil!
