[STANDINGS] Dinamo win and claim first while Lokomotiva challenge Hajduk for second.

Dinamo won another Eternal Derby and now have a three-point gap with Hajduk after seven rounds, while Lokomotiva had a bit of luck to defeat Varaždin and now are only one point behind the Bijeli.
Gorica brought down Slaven in a difficult match in Velika Gorica and entered the race for Europe, while Istra got an amazing victory over a strange Osijek.
It finally happened! Vukovar won for the first time in more than 20 years! They turned around a two-goal deficit to win the match 3-2 in Vinkovci! They remain last, but now are a point behind both disappointed clubs such as Osijek and Rijeka.

Round 8 begins next Friday!

[FIXTURE] A SUPER SHOWDOWN as the Eternal Derby is upon us.

The greatest match that the league can produce right now will open Round 8 of the HNL tomorrow at Poljud. Both teams have 13 points and are far from third-place Varaždin. So, we expect some great football and great risks.
Varaždin will play the same day against Lokomotiva in Zagreb. Another super match between the third and fourth-place teams, who are looking to cement their place in the season.
Rijeka plays on Monday, closing the round against Vukovar. The Riječani haven’t won any of their two away games and are looking for their first win in the league after being winless for the last five. The Eastern Wolves are seeking their first win since their comeback.
On Sunday, the Goričani welcome Slaven. The duo achieved terrific wins last weekend, and their mid-table status could improve with a victory.
Under new leadership, Istra must find its pace against an awakening Osijek that can challenge everyone on a good day, but their volatile mindset is their own enemy.

[STANDINGS] Ahead of the Eternal Derby, both teams lose their matches.

Both Dinamo and Hajduk failed to impress against Gorica and Varaždin and suffered their first defeats of the season!
An unexpected Slaven Belupo joins the fight for European places as they beat Istra at home.
Rijeka keeps disappointing and the current champions aren’t even close to the top 4, while Osijek finally won for the first time this season, and it was in the first Eastern Derby in almost nine years.

[REVIEW] Slaven Belupo beat Istra and are now challenging the leaders of the league.

A very entertaining First Half gave both teams a goal. The first one went to Istra after a great counter-attack managed by Lončar that ended with Kadušić’s goal after Hadžikić showed poor reflexes. Slaven kept trying to equalize, and 10 minutes after the opener, Mitrović received a rebound inside the box to make it 1-1.
More chances for both teams in the Second Half! The Zeleno-Žuti really wanted to win in Koprivnica, and Hadžikić and the crossbar were key players who saved the Farmaceuti from losing. But sadly for Istra, luck was on Slaven's side. Šuto returned a pass to Nestorovski, and the North Macedonian kicked it with a weird swerve that went over Kolić to win the match for the home team.
With this win, Slaven have positioned themselves as one of the main protagonists of the season, 4 points below the leaders and fighting for European places. Istra suffered their third defeat of the league, but they looked fine today. A few things to change and the club should start playing better football.

[WORLDCUP] Croatia has demolished Montenegro and is now the leader of the group.

After a classic Croatian first half where the Vatreni had possession of the ball and tried to overrun the Montenegrins, Jakić had an amazing individual play to score the opener. Before the end of the first half, Bulatović received a very harsh second yellow card and left Montenegro with a player less.
Croatia proceeded to squeeze the visiting team in the final 45 minutes. First, with a magnificent corner kick made by Modrić that Stanišić headed towards Kramarić to net the second for the Vatreni. Lovro Majer's long shot bounced off Kuč’s leg and it was three. Ultimately, Perišić ended the match to get a great 4-0 at Maksimir.
Croatia still doesn't know what it's like to end a match without winning it, and that’s something I haven’t seen in a long time. We are also scoring goals in an amount like never before! The Vatreni are first, ahead of Czechia, thanks to the 5-1 win over them.

In October, Croatia will face Czechia in Prague while Gibraltar will have to come to Varaždin. If Dalić’s boys can win both matches, then the Vatreni will secure their ticket to the 2026 World Cup!

[WORLDCUP] Croatia dodged a bullet in Torshavn and gets the third consecutive win.

Zlatko Dalić started a mix of regular and substitute players due to several injuries and to rest some ahead of tomorrow's match against Montenegro. His strategy paid off, but the team's uncertainty and Lamhauge’s excellent performance stalled the Vatreni's show.
Andrej Kramarić was the sole scorer on the Northern island after a great assist from Budimir and remains the top goalscorer in the UEFA qualifiers. Toni Fruk debuted as a starter, while Ivan Smolčić finally put on his Vatreni shirt for the last 10 minutes of the match.
They'll have to be careful against the Montenegrins, as the defensive line wasn't very good, and the team will need to improve for tomorrow's match.

[STANDINGS] Hajduk couldn’t beat Rijeka and holds the lead with Dinamo.

The newest Jadranski Derbi ended with a draw after a marvelous goal in extremis, Dinamo also suffered with Varaždin and managed to save the defeat with a last minute penalty.
The Lokosi also drew with Osijek and they remain third, whiles Slaven defeated Vukovar and goes up to the fifth place.
Istra leaves the final place after their first win of the season against Gorica.

[REVIEW] An amazing Varaždin couldn't resist Dinamo and shared the points.

What a night to remember at Anđelko Herjavec! The sky gifted us with pouring rain, and the players deployed some great football for the almost 10 thousand people on the stands!
After a great start for the Plavi, where Lisica capitalized on Latković’s mistake to score his first goal in a Dinamo shirt, the Bumbari delivered a great comeback in the second half.
Aleksa found redemption as he hit the nets for the second time this season to equalize; then, the local side started moving into Dinamo’s half of the pitch and proved to be a great opponent. Near the end of the match, Antonio Boršić sent a cross inside the Plavi’s box, only to find gold, since Nevistić unexpectedly let it pass, not realizing it was going in! This left Varaždin 2-1 up with a few minutes left on the clock. Sadly for them, Goda’s shot was kept away by Jovanov’s hand, and the referee called it a penalty, which was taken and scored by Kulenović, ending this great game 2-2.

You could say that Varaždin was the biggest loser of this result, but the resilient disposition shown by their players is something to be hailed and acknowledged in the future. Šafarić has a great squad. Dinamo finally conceded goals and, at the same time, lost points after four consecutive wins!

[REVIEW] Reviews are back! Istra won a hard match!

More than 2,000 spectators went to Aldo Drosina on a partially clouded night to see Istra’s first win of the season and, more important, Goran Tomić’s first win with Istra.

The Zeleno-Žuti was an unstoppable force throughout the match and, even when Gorica had lots of shots, never rested until the opener, which came thanks to Čabraja’s poor clearance and Lončar’s fast reflexes to elude Leš and connect a great first-post-shot to beat Matijaš. Only a small amount of Gorica's shots went towards Kolić.

It was a complete showdown from Istra, but they failed to score more goals in a match that could have easily ended with a difference of three goals. The Goričani never stood a chance in P**a and have to rethink their strategy to play against Libertas in the Croatian Cup.

[FIXTURE] Dinamo travels north, while Hajduk faces their first derby.
• The Bili and Rijeka will play a new edition of the Jadranski Derby, and it comes at a time when the Split side is enjoying great momentum in the league, while the Riječani were hit by a heavy defeat against PAOK yesterday and must overcome it.
• Dinamo must travel to Varaždin to face the Bumbari. Šafarić managed to secure their first win of the season and feels more than prepared to meet the expectations of their fans. The Plavi have learned who their future rivals will be in the Europa League—a tough draw—and cannot afford to lose points before the European tournament begins.
• Lokomotiva will have the opportunity to test their potential when they host Osijek at Maksimir. Simon Rožman is walking a tightrope and must start delivering wins if he wants to secure his position with the club.
• Istra opens the fifth round against Gorica. The Zeleno-Žuti are currently underperforming, but I believe this is due to the new coach (Tomić) and the loss of key players like Lisica and Valinčić. Once they overcome this setback, they will become a threat to the rest. Gorica’s start hasn’t been impressive, but their goal of avoiding another relegation battle remains achievable.
• Vukovar hosts Slaven in Vinkovci, with the Eastern Wolves seeking their first win in the HNL! The Farmaceuti fell to Lokomotiva last weekend, and their sole victory against Varaždin is the only thing keeping them from slipping into panic mode.

[EUROPALEAGUE] What a disgrace of a match.

• Rijeka lost 5-0 in Thessaloniki and fell, again, into the Conference League’s League Stage. The Riječani lasted 12 minutes before losing all hope. The players adopted a fully defensive stance and only managed to hit the post once in the entire 90 minutes.
• At least Rijeka now has unlimited money, so they won’t flop in the Conference League, right?
• Tomorrow, we will stream both the Europa League and Conference League draws! Let’s see what awaits them.

[STANDINGS] Rijeka falls apart, the big two keep going strong.

We saw a major upset from Varaždin against the Riječani, while Vukovar continues to add points to their tally.
Lokomotiva managed to defeat Slaven in Koprivnica and is now in third place, while Gorica and Bumbari are competing for fourth place.
