I'm walking through the city and suddenly, Bam! I stumble upon another spot with famous photos of Graz. Graz has so many photography lovers and tourists all the time, and I think that makes it possible for us to get to know different perspectives of the city.
Every person is a unique individual, and every mind is a separate universe. The way one person feels in a city, or in any place, really, can be completely different from how another person feels.
I think Graz is a beautiful city, you know? I've liked living here from the very beginning. I love how the tourism team comes up with great initiatives, how other content creators share their point of view of the city, and how well connected the city is on social media, getting closer and closer to the people and making information more accessible.
Graz is a beautiful, vibrant city, full of good people. A multicultural city, yet rich in tradition.
Today I want to leave this note of appreciation to the city and to the people who build it day after day.

The beautiful Mariahilferkirche faces the city of Graz — and that’s no accident. Its foundation stone was laid in 1607, and the whole church was designed by the court painter Giovanni Pietro de Pomis. A true masterpiece of baroque architecture!

This is the Erzherzog-Johann-BrĂŒcke in Graz — and yes, it’s marked on Google Maps as “Love Locks.”

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve climbed the Schlossberg since I moved to Graz. I’ve gone up with family, with friends, just to take photos, to eat, to see the snow (and almost slipped down the hill 😅).
Some people might wonder why I have so many pictures of this city

The truth is: I see magic everywhere. I’ve always had these eyes.
There’s beauty in the old and the new, in nature and in architecture.
Do you agree? Is beauty everywhere?

Ich habe schon aufgehört zu zĂ€hlen, wie oft ich den Schlossberg bestiegen habe, seit ich in Graz bin. Mit Familie, mit Freunden, nur fĂŒr ein Foto, zum Essen, um den Schnee zu sehen (und ich bin fast die HĂŒgel runtergerutscht 😅).
Vielleicht fragst du dich, warum ich so viele Fotos von dieser Stadt habe...
Die Wahrheit ist: Ich sehe Magie ĂŒberall. Ich hatte schon immer diesen Blick.

🌿 The end of spring on the Schlossberg feels like a quiet farewell.
The flowers are starting to fade, the green is deeper, and the city below is slowly shifting into summer mode.
I walked up the hill this week and just stood there for a moment — no rush, no noise, just Graz being beautiful.
If you haven’t gone up the Schlossberg lately, this might be the perfect time. Before the full heat arrives, and while spring is still saying goodbye gently.

🌿 Der FrĂŒhling verabschiedet sich langsam vom Schlossberg.
Die Blumen verblassen, das GrĂŒn wird krĂ€ftiger und die Stadt bereitet sich still auf den Sommer vor.
Ich war diese Woche oben, habe einfach kurz innegehalten — ohne Eile, ohne LĂ€rm. Graz, ganz fĂŒr sich.
Falls du in letzter Zeit nicht dort warst: Jetzt ist vielleicht der schönste Moment. Bevor der Sommer kommt und der FrĂŒhling leise geht.

🌾 The first time I saw a magnolia tree
 and I caught myself wondering, “Do we not have this in Brazil? Or have I just never noticed?”
Sometimes life moves so fast that we forget to see the beautiful things happening just a few steps away.

I had seen photos of this place on Instagram, but I had never visited it myself. And guess what? It’s just two blocks away from a street I walk all the time.

It made me stop. Breathe. Appreciate.

And you? Have you taken a moment lately to enjoy the simple, grand things in life?
A smile. A hug. The scent of flowers.

🌾 Zum ersten Mal habe ich einen Magnolienbaum gesehen
 und ich habe mich gefragt: “Gibt es das in Brasilien nicht? Oder habe ich es einfach nie bemerkt?”
Manchmal ist das Leben so hektisch, dass wir vergessen, die schönen Dinge direkt vor uns zu sehen.

Ich hatte Fotos von diesem Ort auf Instagram gesehen, war aber noch nie selbst dort. Und weißt du was? Es ist nur zwei Straßen von einem Ort entfernt, an dem ich stĂ€ndig vorbeigehe.

Das hat mich zum Innehalten gebracht. Zum Atmen. Zum Staunen.

Und du? Hast du dir in letzter Zeit einen Moment genommen, um das Einfache und doch Wunderbare zu genießen?

From April 10 to 19, 2025, the main square (Hauptplatz) will turn into a colorful Easter market — and I’m so ready for it!
I love how the city gets this cozy, spring feeling with flowers, crafts, and the smell of fresh bread in the air. It’s like Graz starts to smile again after winter!

Here’s what you’ll find:

Handmade local crafts – beautiful decorations and gifts.

Workshops for kids – every day from 2pm to 5pm (like candle-making and bracelet crafting).

Street performances & live music – to make the vibe even better.

It’s one of my favorite seasonal events here, and perfect if you’re visiting with kids, friends or just want to feel spring arriving in Austria.

đŸ‡±đŸ‡» In Austria, it's Faschings, in Brazil, it's Carnaval. đŸ‡§đŸ‡· As a Brazilian, to me, Carnaval is everything! It’s a time for color, music, dance, and pure joy.

And I have to say it... Graz also knows how to throw a party. Here are our tips for a fun time during Faschings.

The Kleine Zeitung Faschingsumzug parade is a must-see, full of creativity and fun, marking the start of the season here. 😎 On 04.03.2025, from 12:15 to 15:00.

And in Graz, we also have the big Faschingsdienstag party at Bermudadreieck, and trust me, it’s a blast! On 04.03.2025, from 13:30 to 23:30. Glockenspielplatz | Mehlplatz | FĂ€rberplatz
