This is Cabin 8044 (Inside) on deck 8, Forward on Ambassador Cruise Line Ambition 🚢
As with most cruise cabins, the room can be made up as a twin or a king (we did change ours to a king on day 2).
Handy dressing table/desk with large mirror, power points and cupboards at either end. The hairdryer, kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities are also found in these cupboards.
The television signal was not great and fell in and out sometimes, with some channels not working at all - even when in port! We would have appreciated some on-demand content to watch during those times when you just want to chill out in the cabin, but there was a rolling film channel which we made use of a couple of times...but rarely caught the start of a film. Channels were really limited.
Under the TV there is a cupboard which from the look of the vent at the top of it, must have housed a fridge at one stage. A fridge in the room is always a bonus, but not having one wasn't the end of the world. Perhaps if we had asked guest services for one they would have provided one, although we can't be sure as we didn't ask.
There was also a super handy set of shelves on the left of the TV which were not present in Mum's cabin, although her room didn't have Pullman beds like our cabin did, so we assumed thats why we had them.
Power sockets wise, all bases were covered with UK, EU, and USB points built into the dressing table. An unused plug can be found in the fridge cupboard - bonus!
No power sockets next to the bed unfortunately.
There was plenty of hanging space for the two of us as always. You can always ask your cabin steward for more hangers if you need, although we managed fine with what was there.
There is additional shelving and drawers adjacent to the wardrobe to house all the clothes you were never going to actually wear but brought along anyway (cough cough Dean!)
Moving onto the bathroom, the main highlight here was NO SHOWER CURTAIN! We just assumed, old ship = shower curtain, but not on Ambition! 🙌🏻 Thank you, thank you, thank you Ambassador!
Shower excitement aside, the bathrooms are small but worked more than fine for the two of us. One toilet hiccup but it was sorted quickly. There was enough storage space and the shower itself was powerful.
We had the beds joined up to a king on day 2, although in truth I think we preferred the extra space that the twin configuration gave us. You do still get two sheets and duvets though which we liked 👍🏻
And finally, every day we arrived back to our cabin to be greeted by different towel art courtesy of our super friendly cabin steward.
As far as inside cabins go, we were pretty happy with this one. It was in a good location near to the lifts and stairs. The only real ni**le was not having a fridge but that's just our personal preference and wouldn't put us off booking this room again.
