With heavy hearts, we say farewell to Leander “Lanni” Topp aka Pionear, who passed away on June 17, 2025. As founder and frontman of Messer Banzani, head of Germaican Records, and a defining force in the German if not European reggae, ska, and dancehall scene, he moved and inspired generations. Lanni was a true visionary, friend, companion, father, son, grandson, and a role model for countless soundboys and musicians. We wish his family and all who were close to him much strength and love in this difficult time. Rest in Power, Lanni – di music nah stop. Walk good, bredda. One love, forever.
