Dragon's Dogma 2 Drops to Lowest Price Ever

Dragon's Dogma 2 has been out for just over a year, and it's already fallen to an incredibly low price on Amazon. The long-awaited sequel to Capcom's more niche 2012 RPG, Dragon's Dogma 2 was released last year and became one of the biggest RPGs of 2024, earning Metacritic scores in the high 80s and a Best RPG nomination at The Game Awards. By this time last year, Dragon's Dogma 2 was already closing in on three million total sales.

While Dragon's Dogma 2 was certainly Capcom's biggest 2024 game release, the popular Japanese publisher has put out a few more high-profile titles since. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a smaller action-strategy game, came out last summer, and among a number of Xbox 360-era remasters, Capcom's Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was a standout last Fall. This year, Capcom has released its wildly successful Monster Hunter Wilds, which has already become a top contender for Game of the Year. It also has the Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny remaster arriving next month.

Fatal Fury Confirms Huge Prize Pool

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will boast an impressive prize pool of $2.5 million at this year's SNK World Championships, despite the game's lukewarm release. While Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is taking time to build up its fanbase, the game has been met with largely positive feedback following its launch earlier this month.

The first new entry in the franchise in over 25 years, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has impressed audiences, with many applauding its combat, soundtrack, characters, and customization options. Unfortunately, early numbers for the title, which was released on April 24, have not matched this enthusiasm, with the max concurrent player count on Steam not even breaking 5,000. This underwhelming performance comes despite an aggressive marketing campaign, with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves appearing during the recent WrestleMania event and appearing in ads all over the world. Fans of the game may have a chance to win some serious cash later in the year, however, with a recent announcement shocking the title's community.
