Finding peace at altitude. ✈️
Everything slows down when you are up there. Not being constantly connected to the outside world brings some kind of ease to your mind.
Don't get me wrong, we can always check the weather or important flight related informations but private messages Stand still for a while.
Would you like that or do you prefer limitless connection during your flight? Because that also works with our in flight wifi 😅

Come with me on a day in the life of a pilot during summer schedule. So many impressions captured for you in ashore time. Days like this might be stressful. Manny passengers, lots of luggage and cargo. All of that combined with en route weather and thermal approach conditions. But me all love a sunny and warm walkaround 😎

Might not look like all sunshine and rainbows but time slows down up there.
The stress of managing time slots, boardings and fueling becomes significantly less when finally being in the air. Don't get me wrong, emergencies then would be even more difficult but the daily operation eases when wheels are up.
The tension usually comes back when we enter the approach phase.
I could not imagine a better way to pass my day. If I have to work, then I would always choose the flight deck.

Do you ask yourself sometimes if window or aisle?

I definetly prefer the window seat but let's make that the front row!
Row 0 vibes are just different.
There you will have the absolut best view 😍🙌🏻
Nothing beats the early morning sunrise, breaking through cloud layers, endless sunsets while flying westward.

This is what a 9,5 hour shift as a pilot at night looks like. Start of duty is just after 9pm and landing back in Vienna is around 6am. Lit up cities, pitch black over water and high terrain during the approach. All of that mixed with degraded approach equipment on ground and a reduced landing distance available. Would this still be a dream job for you?
Come with me and see that despite challenges our biggest goal, a safe flight, is alway achievable.

How can you describe this feeling?
Setting takeoff power during sunrise on your leg home 😍 Sunrise departures are one of the best. I have to be honest, I don't like waking up early but the scenery makes it worth the effort.
Rolling down the runway with 300km/h and lifting 70+ tons of metal in the air is just crazy.
Thank you guys for sharing this enthusiasm with me.
