Kapitál and associated cultural journals in an open letter on the misuse of Slovakian public funds: 'The Arts Council’s actions constitute a direct attack on freedom of expression and media pluralism. The Council overturned the decisions of the expert committee in 32 cases. Of the 56 magazines, high subsidies were awarded primarily to ineligible applicants and entities known for spreading disinformation.’
