For the new Brand Center in Vienna, we designed the installation TREFOIL SPHERE, now suspended above visitors as they enter the space.

The sculptural object is a contemporary homage to the iconic dome of the Vienna Secession. Instead of gilded laurel leaves, the adidas Trefoil logo takes center stage – fragmented, dynamic, and reassembled.

The sculpture connects Vienna’s cultural heritage with the energy of a global brand – an object suspended between memory and future.

Salone del Mobile 2025 has passed – and we’re still buzzing from an intense, inspiring week in Milan.

We had the pleasure of presenting our TIDE Chair as part of VIENNA VIBES, curated by .zippenfenig, in a truly unique setting: Erotica Boutique – an adult store in Porta Venezia, which was transformed into a temporary stage for Austrian design.
Exploring exhibitions across the city and connecting with so many amazing designers was a true highlight – full of ideas, objects, materials and real talk about life in the design world.

For .austria we designed REAL STAGE: a shelving system reduced to the essentials. Flat steel sheets are folded into a stable construction and mounted directly to the wall with just a few screws.

The shelf is available in two widths – 75 cm and 100 cm – and with 2, 3, 4 or 6 tiers. Made of powder-coated steel in black, white, or beige.

REAL STAGE is a shelving system reduced to the essentials. Flat steel sheets are folded into a stable construction and mounted directly to the wall with just a few screws.

No additional connectors are needed – the shape itself defines the structure. Precise cuts create supports and shelves from a single piece, with each shelf locking seamlessly into place to form a clear, minimalist design.

Packed flat for easy transport and quickly assembled, REAL STAGE combines functionality with a thoughtfully engineered structure.

The shelf is available in two widths – 75 cm and 100 cm – and with 2, 3, 4 or 6 tiers. Made of powder-coated steel in black, white, or beige.

We don’t just design new products for our collection—we also experiment with existing designs and innovative materials. This time, we tested our BIVALVE collection with a new wood fiber-reinforced filament from a manufacturer in Vorarlberg, Austria! 🌿🪵

Made from renewable raw materials like lignin and biopolymers, this filament offers great printability, low warping, and a wood-like look and feel. Plus, it’s biodegradable according to DIN EN ISO 14855. ♻️

The result? A natural aesthetic with a unique texture, perfectly complementing our functional and organically inspired designs. 💛

We say goodbye and thank you to Léa!

Over the past five months, she has supported us as an intern and contributed to various projects, from glass bottles to shelving systems. Her reliability and dedication have been greatly appreciated.

We wish her all the best for her studies at in northern France. Au revoir! 👏

In December, Hauke was invited by two Chinese universities – the Nanhai Academy of Fine Arts in Haikou and the Ningbo University of Technology.

In Haikou, he led a one-week design workshop together with designer An Ran on the topic „What’s Left? Design Responses After Natural Disasters.“ We explored how to repurpose leftover materials from the summer typhoon.

At Ningbo University of Technology, Hauke gave a lecture: „From Concept to Series: Design Thinking in Your Own Collection.“ Sharing insights into turning ideas into real products.

Last week, with our students from , we had the opportunity to visit Pfaffenau’s MA48 waste treatment unit for our New Materials & Sustainability class : an opportunity to understand the challenges of conception, recycling and ressource management as designers.

We also had the opportunity to visit to discover tangible solutions for innovative materials that respect and enhance local ressources.

Our students were then able to present their projects based on reinterpretations of great design classics that promote sustainability at our studio in Vienna.

Angelehnt an die Adventskalendertage präsentiert die .zippenfenig im Dezember
24 Designer*innen, Künstler*innen, Brands und Studios. Die Objekte der Ausstellung
„VIERUNDZWANZIG“ bewegen sich formal zwischen Kunst und Design und wurden von
kuratiert und in Szene gesetzt. Bereits während der Eröffnung können
die Objekte vor Ort mitgenommen oder im Online Shop von erworben werden. „VIERUNDZWANZIG“ ermöglicht Besucher*innen
einen erschwinglichen Zugang zu hochwertigen und besonderen Objekten.
