Spotify hat entschieden, das Album „One“ von MANIAC SAINT zu entfernen – mit der Begründung, wir hätten angeblich künstlich Streams erzeugt.
Offenbar ist es verdächtig, wenn man in eine Playlist aufgenommen und dann automatisch weitergespielt wird. Ich dachte bisher, genau das sei der Sinn von Playlists – dass Musik gehört wird.
Aber anscheinend fürchten die wackeren Hüter des digitalen Goldes, uns versehentlich ein paar Cent zu viel zu zahlen.
An dieser Stelle ein herzliches: Fk you.

Spotify has decided to remove our album “One” by MANIAC SAINT – claiming that we supposedly generated artificial streams.
Apparently, it’s suspicious if you get added to a playlist and then played automatically on repeat. I always thought that was the whole point of playlists – for music to be heard.
But it seems the valiant guardians of the digital gold are afraid they might accidentally pay us a few extra cents.
And so, with all due respect: Fk you.
