Point:A is a Vienna based artists collective dedicated to create a joint vision of a possible future. Our aim is to provide a hub for upcoming artists.

Through the combination of techno, design and literature we explore the ways of expressing ourselves.

Between massive, monolithic pillars a diverting darkness, punctuated by swift laser sweeps, coats the seemingly homogenous mass of mostly organic bodies.
The desolated dockyard, that once helped birth the imperial navy, is now spurring thousands of dissidents, non-desirables and other state-sanctioned subjects to huddle together into an organized, collective experience – even switching off their psychic regulators for hours. While violence and uncertainty rule over the edges of the known world, the anthropomorphs get a glimpse of harmony and freedom in mind, soul and body through the state-altering effects of sound, light and M-chems filling the nebular air.

Chapter 1: "Slingshot "

On a scarred, arid planet roam indigenous creatures in nomadic herds, traversing vast distances in search for scarce sources of food amidst the scrap-littered ash wastes. Every 13 years, when the celestial bodies align in a specific constellation, the nomads sense the transient change in the rain of solar radiation particles. Today they crawl out once again from their shelters in countless canyons and craters to witness the clouds rip open and a swarm of shrieking meteors comes crashing down. They watch in awe as one by one, the meteor-like objects light up even brighter and disappear again just before touching the horizon, leaving a bent trail of exhaust fumes.

Momo Taro is the techno moniker of vienna-based composer, producer and musician Simon Öggl.
Well known from his live-electronic-band-project Drahthaus, his compositions for orchestras and ensembles, as well as his Drum’n’Bass alter ego Hidden Aspect, with whom he had releases all across Europe, his new project Momo Taro focuses on rolling techno-grooves and memorable synth-lines.

Slingshot is a sci-fi epos compressed into a 8-minute dancefloor-roller.
The driving fundament of the endlessly flowing techno track gets spiced up by ethereal melodic patterns and heavy-hitting synth-stabs, culminating to a climax which makes it impossible to sit still.

Besides our gifted Momo Taro, we also have a passionate team of interdisciplinary artists on board our space station, who write, illustrate and develop the fragmented stories of our universe as we travel further into the unknown.
On and around release day there will be much more to experience in addition to the anticipated galaxywide launch of „Slingshot“:
The already expressive song will be supported by a carefully crafted piece of narrative from our Chief of Propaganda Maximilian Kaiser, accompanied by a striking cover from our Master Visualizer Michele di Modugno that captures the essence of this specific intermediary artwork.
