Around the World Party
A party designed to give children an educational experience of cultures around the world and have fun! All included in the party: The children had the opportunity to learn fun facts about different countries, try sweet treats from that country. There was dinner, face painting, dance party, bounce house, hair styling, spa / makeover, professional photographer, goodie bags, a message of faith and courage, and more!

A HUGE thank you: To the over forty volunteers, and individuals who donated funds or time - you all helped make this event a success.
Finances are being calculated by the accountant and will be announced soon: Proceeds are going to fund people from our community to go on a missions trip.
Personally: This event has a deep rooted meaning as this is my hometown, and community I was raised in. My whole immediate family flew in this weekend and was also able to attend the party. (Big family....seven people- haha.)
The Why: Other than my love for community, the other reason is - I recently spent six months overseas in Austria - doing a working internship in medical devices. During my time off of work I traveled to twelve different countries - it’s not too hard you just hop on a train - haha. In total I have been to twenty one countries.
Making a move like that required a lot of faith, and courage.
Coming back to the same community where I once sat in their same seats, I hope that these children not only had the opportunity to tangibly learn about different cultures and have fun, but most importantly that they will have the courage and faith to go where they are called to go in this world - and to do it all in love.
