So unterschiedlich wie ihre musikalischen Bereiche sind auch ihre jeweiligen Backgrounds. Trotzdem oder gerade deshalb haben sich Pete Prison IV und Alex Kranabetter an eine erste gemeinsame Improsession im Rahmen des smallforms Programms gewagt – ein Spaziergang zum Kennenlernen, ein erstes Date.

Düstere Gitarrenklänge treffen auf dichten Trompetennoise.
Brutzeln. Blubbern. Rascheln.
Ein Zischen hier, ein Schweigen da.
Wir haben beide Angst vor Spinnen.
Wir tragen beide die gleichen Socken.

Adina Camhy’s krst is a journey through the rugged landscape of the carst / krst / karst in the Capitalocene. Violent human practices are stored in the landscape in the form of traces, incisions and memories: remnants of wars, extraction, trade routes.  Camhy constructs thread figures between human- and non-human narrations, incidents of a present, echoes of a past and a future yearning for a utopia of solidarity.

The partly improvised live set opens up soundscapes between eerie ambient loops, alienated voices and post industrial noises – tender, dreamy and aggressive at the same time. krst is based on research and field recordings in the carst / krst / karst landscape, recorded during residencies in Trieste in 2024 (Clanz, smallforms / Gangart) and 2023 (AIRTrieste, Land Steiermark).

CAROLOOO000 is the first performative musical project of Carola Zelaschi, composer, arranger, producer and drummer from Argentina, born in Buenos Aires in 1991.
The germ of Carolo is the Internet. It is the dissociation, the overstimulation, what we take and what we discard from data, images and sounds. Reflecting on what we do or don't do with all that. To link the most improbable cases and transform them into something else, something else and something else.
Collage in an infinite reinvention. I gradually discovered the thread and worked those micro and macro sound ideas to resurrect their dead zones, which were made garbage and transform them into a dystopian techno porteño played in a solo set format of drums, voice and keyboards.
Their first homonymous album was released in 2023 on digital platforms, and this 2024 will be released on vinyl through SONAMOS, the brand new label of Juana Molina and Mario Agustín González and Little Butterfly Records (Uruguay).

Vielleicht noch bissi Flügelhorn dazu. Und noch ein bissi Percussion.
