🔥 Don’t get caught out charging your e-bikes, scooters and other lithium-ion battery devices!

Fire crews were called to a property in Adelaide’s south, early this morning to reports of a structure fire.

🔋 An e-bike that was charging at the time was found to be the cause of the blaze. Investigators estimate $150k in damages to the property.

Remember to be battery-safe and consider the ABCD’s of Lithium-ion Batteries.

👉 A: Assess your devices regularly for excess heat, swelling or other anomalies.
👉 B: Buy new devices and replacement batteries from reputable suppliers and stores.
👉 C: Charge batteries safely, with original chargers and not on or near combustible surfaces.
👉 D: Dispose of your batteries safely at battery disposal sites across Adelaide, or contact your local council.
