We’re out of where we were for the event. Thank the Lord I had made friendly acquaintances with people here.
A lovely bloke called Matt came and helped us out! We’ll probably be back in a few days but at least the immediate issue is resolved.
No car updates yet. Which is sort of understandable, they’re checking the hydroboost and power steering cooler. IDK how long that might take to pull out and/ or test.

You can’t make this up.
We need to move the caravan tomorrow!
There is an event and we need to be out.
The car isn’t returned yet.
All things were looking good but then the new power steering pump died during test drive!
Now there will be more investigation to be done to find out why.
How much longer must we wait?!

I just got a message that they didn’t receive the parts.
My bus is first thing in the morning. 😡 I might not go as if I do I can’t get back easily.

The adventure continues?
Tomorrow, early-ish, I am going to catch a bus for two hours to where our car is being maintained.
This could end in (more) tears.
As you would have seen, I called and was told parts would be at the shop yesterday. I booked a bus ticket on the only bus which only travels on Wednesday, and prepared to go get it.
I called the mechanic today to confirm the repair and the parts hadn’t arrived yet. I got a message back saying they’re expected today. I told them I’ve booked a bus seat and will be down there tomorrow about 11 unless I hear otherwise.
No messages.
These guys aren’t known for their great communication.
So I am risking it!
Even if the parts haven’t yet arrived and they arrive tomorrow I should be fine.
The car is on the hoist they say, the old parts are out and they’re just waiting on the new.

Probably won’t use them again.

Parts are in the country with the supplier!
I’m told overnight delivery (arrive Monday) then I should be picking up next Wednesday!
Not as soon as I want but I’ll take it.

We’ve now been stuck for about 3 months.
There is a party this weekend and we’d really like to be able to move from where we are so we aren’t as affected by the noise. We’re parked up right next to the hall that’s been hired.

We’d like your faith and prayers that we can get our car this week so we can get back on the road. We’re having a family fast tomorrow and ask you to join us praying and/or fasting for the return of our car this week!

While we’re away from our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) we do it in our caravan. Usually I conduct and assign talks or music to one of the family.
We’ve been working through the general conference talks (hopefully by inspiration from the Holy Ghost) and various new church hymns.

I hope our travelling friends are doing OK. Pretty intense winds here last night!
We’re a bit windswept but otherwise well.
