It's been a year of massive changes! Saying goodbye to Australia has been difficult, but getting married to the love of my life and being reunited with my friends & family in France have certainly made this a very special year ❤

After 3 years in business, it's pretty cool to see that what drove me to start is still at the core of what we do today: helping passionate people share their inspiring stories.

I want to say thank you to and who have been working with me from Adelaide and have allowed Kookaburra Films to continue to exist on that side of the world.

And of course a BIG thank you to everyone who trusted us to capture their story. It's always an honour 🙏

This is by far my favorite type of video to create and one that I think every business needs, especially the ones who (like me) don’t show up on their socials as much as they would like 🙈

A brand story video is such a powerful way to invite people into your world and show them who you are. It showcases not only your expertise and your skills but also your personality and what makes you “YOU”. It leaves your audience feeling like they know you even if they haven’t met you yet.

It's been two weeks now since we've moved back to France and we had an awesome time taking a bit of a break, reuniting with friends and family, staying in Paris, going to Barcelona.. I'm honestly so excited to rediscover Europe 🙂

Today James is starting school to learn French and I'm slowly getting back to my work routine and actually settling into our new space (suitcases are still pretty much everywhere!)

On the agenda this week: a lot of editing for my Australian clients and trying to figure out how to run Kookaburra Films in France 🇫🇷

In 3 weeks I will be shooting videos for the attendees of the run by The Seven Effect.

This incredible retreat was one of the first project I've worked on when I arrived in Adelaide 2 years ago and was just starting in business! So it feels like the perfect way to wrap up my stay in Australia (I am literally jumping on the plane two days after the retreat!)

If you're not familiar with retreat, it is a 7-day luxury escape for women in business where you work with experts in photography, videography, make-up and marketing to create a library of high-quality content for your brand! And it all happens at the beautiful Middleton Beach Huts 🤩

I've put myself in your shoes today! And let me tell you I don't particularly enjoy switching sides 😅

Like most of us, when I step in front of a camera I don't nail it in one take. I stumble on my words, I loose my train of thought in the middle of my answer and I struggle to articulate my ideas.

This is why the most important thing for me is to get to know you and truly understand your brand. I want to know your story so well that when it's time for you to deliver it on camera, I can hold your hand every step of the way. Help you find the words that will resonate with your audience, the ones that really capture who you are. Because when you're in that seat I know how hard it can be ❤

Did you know I used to be a TV journalist?

Back in France I worked both as a camera operator and a reporter for the regional newscast. There were things I truly loved about the job, others not so much. I’ve covered some pretty cool stuff, from forensic doctors trying to identify WWII soldier remains to mountain experts evaluating avalanche risk.

But the best part about it was the diversity of people I got to meet on a daily basis. Doing stories on local artists, small businesses and putting the spotlight on everyday people and their various talent and skills was honestly my absolute favourite!

I’m so glad this is still very much at the heart of what I do today in my business ❤

Exciting news! I’m moving back to France! I’m not going to lie, it has been a very hard decision to make but after living abroad for almost 6 years my partner and I have decided it was time for us to be close to family again.

We have absolutely loved our life here in Australia, met incredible people that will be lifelong friends so moving to France definitely feels a little bit bittersweet but we are really excited for this new chapter of our life!

On the business side, I’m thrilled to announce to you that Kookaburra Films will keep telling your beautiful stories! I’m currently talking with some amazing videographers here in Adelaide that will be collaborating with me so we can keep creating unique and authentic brand story videos for you ❤

How inspiring is Hayley's story from Zynski Bakes!
Can you see the late nights in the kitchen, the challenges of trying to start a business while raising a kid?

Sharing your story is so important and a video can do this in such a powerful way!
It creates an emotional connection between you and your audience. Hearing you and seeing you talk about your journey really gives people the feeling that they know you even if they haven't met you. Add to that some compelling visuals of you doing what you do best and now you're inviting your customers into your world! And who would'nt want to be in Hayley's world!? 😋😍😍
