We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of generosity shown during the GWC Christmas Appeal. The response from our community is truly overwhelming.

Because of the abundance of donations, we are able to extend our reach even further. Along with supporting struggling individuals and families, we also shared donations with Puddle Jumpers, an organisation that does wonderful work helping families in need—especially at this time of year.

Your kindness allowed us to spread hope, care, and practical support to even more people than we imagined. Every donation matters, and every act of generosity makes a difference.

Thank you for being a community that leads with compassion.

As we approach the Christmas season 🎄, the Hellenic Studies Foundation would like to thank our partners, the community, and followers for their continued support throughout the year.

In 2025, the Foundation proudly contributed to the promotion and preservation of the teaching and learning of the Modern Greek language through large-scale projects and community-based programs and initiatives. These included education incentive programs 🎓, study tour support ✈️, student competitions 🏆, classroom resources 🧠, and teacher professional development 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫.

Backing small-scale community initiatives—often the difference between ideas being discussed and initiatives taking place—is one of the ways we add value 🌱✨.

We would also like to make special mention of our sponsors for their support of community initiatives, notably the Evzones visit in 2025, which was an incredibly successful and memorable tour 🌟.

Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be a busy and exciting year. The Hellenic Studies Foundation–sponsored Modern Greek course at the new Adelaide University will go live in March, high school curriculum work—the first of its kind in Australia—will be launched 🇦🇺, and we may even have an announcement to get you wiggling again.
