📢 UPDATE: The 2025 AUMA AGM has been RESCHEDULED and will now take place on WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER.

The AGM will also now take place on Zoom only, and the link will be sent out prior to the day. 💻

This also means that the deadline to nominate for a position on the 2025-26 AUMA Executive Committee has been EXTENDED. There is still time to nominate, and we encourage you to do so to be a part of an amazing team! 🌟🤩

Invite your friends to a FREE screening of Orson Welles’s classic drama Citizen Kane, with snacks provided! Celebrated for its groundbreaking cinematography, editing, and storytelling, the film received nine Academy Award nominations, winning Best Writing (Original Screenplay). 🎬

A quick and hopefully engaging synopsis: ...Citizen Kane explores the challenge of truly understanding a person’s life, showing the rise and fall of newspaper tycoon Charles Foster Kane. His story is pieced together through the memories of those around him, each with their own biases. In the end, his mysterious last word, 'Rosebud', hints that the most meaningful parts of life are not achievements or possessions, but the moments that shaped him from childhood.

About the AUMA

Welcome to the Adelaide University Media Association! We’re a group of media students at the University of Adelaide, and we put on events for other media students (and their friends!) Like our page to be updated on events, as well as job, internship and volunteering opportunities! In 2019 we held our first Industry Night, connecting students to real media industry professionals with great success, and we aim to continue this in the future.

For those wishing to be involved in the AUMA, executive positions are decided at the Annual General Meeting, usually held at the start of Semester 1. Anyone wishing to join the committee throughout the year should message this page, there are no sign-up fees. It’s a great opportunity in getting involved on campus, meeting other media students and gaining some volunteer experience!
