Do you enjoy birdwatching? 🐦❤️

Geoff Looney holds the camera lens up to his face to take a picture of a great egret wading on the shores of Lake Pamamaroo, one of the four main lakes in the Menindee Lake system in Far West New South Wales.

After 50 years in the region, the 78-year-old knows the waterways of the lake system very well and has recorded about 209 bird species.

Do you remember your Year 12 exams? ✍️ 📓

In 1962 students from across South Australia travelled to Wayville Showgrounds to take part in Year 12 exams.

These exams took place in a time where there was no air conditioning, and each exam session could hold up to 1200 students.

How do you feel about the proposed change?🧐

The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA) has applied to the Fair Work Commission to scrap junior pay rates for workers aged 18 to 20 in retail, fast food and pharmacies so they can be paid adult wages. Entry level wages would still apply for workers aged below 18.

Under current laws, a junior is an employee under 21 years old and gets paid a percentage of the relevant adult pay rate unless the award, enterprise agreement or other registered agreement doesn’t have junior rates.

The death of beloved Port River dolphin, Rocket, who was struck by a boat, saddened animal lovers and the local marine community.

Now, the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is calling for one-month-old baby Occy to be protected from a similar fate.

“We are very excited to have a new calf in the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, but it is really important that people on the water keep a look out and slow down and people in boats, jet skis and kayaks do not approach so the mum and calf can rest and feed and give them the best opportunity to survive,” Marianna Boorman, a researcher with the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary told 891 ABC Radio Adelaide’s Nikolai Beilharz.

Following the death of beloved Port River dolphin, Rocket, after being struck by a boat, the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is calling for new vulnerable baby Occy to be protected from harm.

The Australasian College of Emergency Medicine has alleged there was a day in September when the Royal Adelaide Hospital emergency department had more admitted patients than it had beds.

But the claim has been disputed by SA Health, which says its records show admission peaked at 65 in the 68-bed department on that day.

The Australasian College of Emergency Medicine says on a day in September there were 70 admitted inpatients in the Royal Adelaide Hospital's emergency department that has 68 beds — a claim disputed by SA Health.

Go Anne Hatchard! 🏉❤️👏

The Crows three-time AFLW premiership star, who will notch her 100th AFLW game this weekend told 891 ABC Radio Adelaide’s Jo Laverty she can’t believe she’s now an idol to so many young girls who want to play football, especially after being a young fan herself back in the day.

“It’s crazy because I was one of those young girls, and to be an idol is something that’s so awesome,” she said.
