As commodity prices inflate like a free-floating helium balloon accidentally released from the hand of a hapless child, most things — not just dodgem rides and Dagwood dogs — tend to hit the hip pocket with a little extra force.

🚗 Do you park on Peacock Road?

A dedicated bike lane is being installed on Peacock Road, reducing the number of available parking spaces.

"There's a tram stop right here, so lots of people would park and use the tram," 891 ABC Adelaide's Bobby Macumber told Sonya and Jules.

"If you're heading from Greenhill Road towards the city, there will be no parking available from 7am to 10am. There will be parking on the eastern side heading away from the city, but restrictions there will apply from 3pm to 7pm."

Do you remember when the iconic Haigh’s sign would light up?✨

This morning, 891 ABC Adelaide roving reporter Bobby Macumber visited Beehive Corner, where scaffolding was erected yesterday to begin the restoration of the historic sign.

“This sign has not been lit up for decades. The neon lights on each letter require specialised restoration, and there is nowhere in South Australia that can replace these lights. The sign has to be taken down, taken apart, sent to Brisbane for restoration, cleaned up and then put back in place,” Bobby told 891 ABC Adelaide’s Sonya and Jules.
