Parliament House | Autumn Reception 2025

Today, representatives from 5EBI 103.1 FM Ethnic Broadcasters Inc. had the honour of attending the Autumn Reception at Parliament House, hosted by the Honourable Jing Lee, Independent Member of the Parliament of South Australia and Member of the Legislative Council.

This official reception was a meaningful celebration of the invaluable contributions multicultural communities continue to make to South Australian society. Set against the historic backdrop of Parliament House, we were warmly welcomed and engaged in thoughtful discussions centred on inclusion, community service, and leadership. We were deeply moved by the Honourable Jing Lee’s inspiring address, her generosity in personally guiding us through the parliamentary chambers, and her genuine commitment to South Australia’s ethnic communities.

The Honourable Jing Lee, MLC, delivered a heartfelt speech acknowledging the dedication of organisations such as Ethnic Broadcasters Inc. 5EBI 103.1 FM, Ice Factory Foundation, MS Society SA & NT, Radio Italiana 531am, Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia, and the Gawler Show Society. Her unwavering dedication to uplifting multicultural voices resonated throughout the afternoon and during the guided tour of the House of Assembly and Legislative Council Chambers, where she emphasised the vital role civic representation plays for migrants and multicultural groups.

The afternoon unfolded beautifully, from the golden glow of Parliament House in autumn to the warmth shared among distinguished guests. Conversations flowed with purpose, weaving together stories of resilience, cultural pride, and mutual respect. The event was a true celebration of unity and shared vision.

The defining moment was made even more special when Honourable Jing Lee presented Ethnic Broadcasters Inc. 5EBI 103.1FM Radio with an Award of Excellence—a tribute to five decades of unwavering service in multicultural broadcasting. This proud milestone is now captured in a commemorative plaque, presented during the official award ceremony and group photo session.

We extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of:
Chairman: Dieter Fabig
Station Manager: Pattie Todorovic
Treasurer: Sigi Brown
Secretary: Margaret Legedza
Executive Member: Qazi Sharmin Sultana
and the entire 5EBI 103.1 FM Ethnic Broadcasters Inc. family.

Thank you, Honourable Jing Lee, for your continued advocacy, visionary leadership, and steadfast support of South Australia’s multicultural heartbeat. You remind us that inclusion is not only a policy—it’s a lived principle.
