Solid weekend between volunteering & driving. The old missile R32 survived double duty with Joe despite our best efforts. Winter fest is always a good time, even when you have daycares latest cough.

Always great catching up with Jason from Tuff Mounts. About 6 years ago Smokey was used to prototype the LS in E46 engine mounts they sell now.

What a Killa week in Tassie!!🎉

300km of street driving & 2 days of drifting but the BMW did amazing. It's an animal now even on the 235's. Qualifying 4th was rad & think we got 10thin the end. So much more potential.

Huge thanks to everyone, from prepping the car to giving me a place to sleep when plans changed, its much appreciated. Particularly to Joe for his help throughout the whole process & Naomi for keeping the home front under control.

Keen to do some more comps now but I think the old bank account needs some time to recover first. 😅

Air Intake for supercharger setup has proved difficult but rewarding.

Designed the whole thing in CAD using 3D scanning to check bonnet & radiator clearances. The ally part is laser cut with locating tabs and the black front is a glass infused nylon 3d printed piece.

I am thoughtful of the cooling now with the intake & water to air radiator but we also will probably only get 4 laps to a set of tyres now, so we will see how it goes.

3D scanners are the future! Got the Creality Ferret Pro for Christmas & it's pretty incredible what you can quickly achieve.

This is two scans, one with the supercharger & another with the bonnet so we can work out how large the hole is going to be. The yellow is the underside of the bonnet.

It's pretty exciting what 3D scanning, CAD, 3D printing & laser cutting is allowing people to do from home.

Little trip to Regency for an ID inspection today. This marks the end of a mammoth amount of work to get this car running well & all legalities checked.

Put it back to stock for the ID inspection but really we were only here because the date of manufacture was 10 year wrong & had to be fixed before it could go on historic rego. Was costing $130 extra a month between rego & insurance.
