Ruby has built an impressive journey of her own—representing South Australia and Australia, playing NCAA Division I basketball to WNBL Development Player and becoming an NBL1 West champion and Grand Final MVP.

Interviewing one of the captains - wasn’t on my National Finals bingo card — but how could we resist when the squad was in Adelaide for a selection camp and courtside, loud and proud, supporting their Wellbeing Lead, the amazing , in her final game for the .

Nat announced her retirement ahead of the NBL1 West Grand Final, closing an incredible chapter at the National Finals.

Thomas and the squad are preparing for the Asia-Pacific Sixes Lacrosse Championships on the Sunshine Coast in October as part of their journey towards LA28 Olympic qualification.

I had the opportunity to chat with some incredible players and coaches across the NBL1 National Finals weekend, but Bruins Basketball Association kiahnadaviswhite Foot Locker Australia Player of the Game interview is hard to beat.

Her genuine excitement, infectious energy and unwavering belief in her team—even though they ultimately fell short in the Grand Final—captured exactly what the weekend was all about. 🏀🎤
