Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025.

Bailey told People magazine that he was "incredibly flattered" to receive the crown, adding that it was a huge honor.

"It’s been a secret, so I’m quite excited for some friends and family to find out," he added.

He joins the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Idris Elba and Patrick Dempsey to be named the Sexiest Man Alive and to be featured on the cover of the magazine.

Entertainment Weekly said that the 37-year-old actor has now made history, becoming the first out gay man to receive the title.

""They’ve seen me grow up. Behind the mask of being identified as a sexy man are other truths that they know and they’ve witnessed. They know the secrets," Jonathan Bailey told People magazine when commenting on the reaction to the news from his friends.

He was picked for the 40th anniversary of the Sexiest Man Alive franchise after growing in popularity, especially on the heels of his role as Lord Anthony on Bridgerton.

The Emmy nominated actor made his big-screen debut as Prince Fiyero in the movie musical megahit Wicked in 2024 and in Jurassic World: Rebirth.

Bailey was raised in rural Oxfordshire in the UK with three older sisters by his mom, Carole, and dad, Stuart.

Grammy award winning singer Nelly Furtado has announced she will be quitting music amid cruel body-shaming attacks.

Furtado, 45, took to Instagram to share the unexpected news, saying it was time for her to focus on 'other creative and personal endeavors.'

The singer had returned to music just last year (2024) with her album "7" which was her first studio album since 2017.

Best known for her global hit "I'm Like a Bird", Furtado said she has decided to step away from performance for the foreseeable future.

"I have enjoyed my career immensely , and I still love writing music as I have always seen it as a hobby I was lucky enough to make into a career . I’ll identify as a songwriter forever. I deeply thank all of those who have worked so hard to help me make my pop dreams come true on a creative and organizational level . I thank all my brilliant collaborators and loyal champions," she said.

She did not mention a reason but it came just weeks after she was body shamed on social media.

Furtado had recently brushed off comments on social media about her figure while headlining Manchester Pride, proudly embracing her natural curves.

Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales, who played the role of Sybil Fawlty, the domineering wife of Basil, has died aged 93.

The BBC quoted her sons Samuel and Joseph as saying that the actress died peacefully at her home in London.

Fawlty Towers is a British television sitcom written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, originally broadcast on BBC Two in 1975 and 1979.

The series is set in Fawlty Towers, a dysfunctional hotel in the English seaside town of Torquay in Devon.

The plots centre on the tense, rude and put-upon owner, Basil Fawlty (Cleese), his bossy wife Sybil (Prunella Scales), the sensible chambermaid Polly (Booth), and the hapless and English-challenged Spanish waiter Manuel (Andrew Sachs).

They show their attempts to run the hotel amidst farcical situations and an array of demanding and eccentric guests and tradespeople.

Prunella Scales's husband, fellow actor Timothy West, died in November last year.

She is survived by two sons and one stepdaughter, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The son of a popular Adelaide radio show host has given what some termed as a "priceless reaction" to the news that her mom has been axed from the morning show.

Hayley Pearson and Max Burford announced on Wednesday that they will not be continuing to host the morning show on Mix 102.3.

It was reported that Radio network ARN had axed the two radio hosts, effective from 12 December.

Hayley Pearson told her listeners on Mix102.3 that the decision to scrap her morning show came to her as a shock.

"If you have ever been through redundancy, lost your job....its really tough. I love what we do. I love this. I love radio..... It doesn't make any sense. Why is this happening?" she said.

Max Burford also spoke about his time on Mix102.3 and how the news was unexpected yet it has resulted in other doors being opened for them.

However, the most interesting reaction came from Hayley Pearson's son.

Hayley played a recording of her telling her 10-year-old son in school after picking him up, that she will not be on radio in 2026.

"Yesssss... yessss. In your face Mix," her son was heard shouting out, reacting to the news.

Hayley said that her son loves the radio station but his reaction makes the move a happy one.

Max said that both Hayley and he have other jobs so their listeners should not feel sad.

ARN announced that Adelaide’s Mix102.3 will rebrand as KIIS 102.3, with Ben and Liam returning home for a breakfast show packed with humour and local flavour.

"In 2026, ARN will deliver true national scale across two of the most recognisable media brands in the country," said Lauren Joyce, chief audience and content officer at ARN.

"Through KIIS and GOLD, advertisers can access cohesive national campaigns, premium content, and storytelling that spans every platform – all built on the power of connection."

Max Burford and Hayley Pearson have co-hosted the show since January, gaining international attention in July after it was reported that Keith Urban abruptly ended an interview with them when asked about his wife, Nicole Kidman.

The program now ranks as the third highest-rated FM breakfast show in Adelaide.

The concept emerged from Cinnamon Life's first anniversary brunch held on October 18, which received strong positive feedback from guests. Following its success, the property has transformed the experience into a regular Saturday offering, continuing the signature Cinnamon approach to hospitality.

Brunch on 23 brings together culinary highlights from Staten Bar & Grill, Bistro des Marées, Indiya, Yoroko, and Gatz, allowing guests to explore multiple cuisines in a single sitting. The format addresses a simple idea: rather than visiting each restaurant separately, diners can now experience the best of all the venues during one expansive brunch service.

That’s how Burn & Brunch was born. The idea was to curate an event that combined an empowering workout with a social experience, all within a unique setting like a mall. The positive response reflects the growing curiosity and commitment toward health and wellness in Sri Lanka.”

Four top-tier trainers led the workout lineup, each bringing a distinct approach to fitness. The White Beard Trainer kicked off the session with a Mobility Warm-Up, featuring dynamic drills targeting the hips, shoulders, and spine to activate and prepare the body. NuFloe followed with an energising Mat Pilates session that focused on core strength, control, and fluid motion, helping participants strengthen, sculpt, and stretch their bodies. FHIIT delivered an explosive High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) segment that pushed limits and kept the energy high. The experience concluded with a calming Yoga and Cool-Down flow led by Christa, helping participants ground their energy and restore balance.

Reflecting on the event’s success, Natasha Fonseka remarked, “We wanted to design an inclusive space where everyone—regardless of fitness level, shape, or experience—could come together and move. Each trainer brought something unique, ensuring participants received a complete and fulfilling workout experience. Seeing such a diverse crowd working side by side was incredible. We’re excited to continue building this community through more creative fitness concepts and future editions of FitCon.”
