This got two tired seafood ladies through yesterday after the Christmas rush!!!

Merry Belated Christmas Everyone!

Apologies for the late post - we were exhausted!

Christmas Eve was EPIC! Every year it gets bigger and thank you for supporting us on the biggest day we've ever had! And thank you to everyone for your patience if you came early and waited in line.

We were flat out, so sorry if we didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone! We do appreciate you all very much and all the wonderful feedback, messages and gifts.

On top of a huge number of orders this year, we tried our best to stock enough sales prawns, bugs and oysters for every customer until close at 2pm. We made it to 1:47pm this year before running out for the day. So close!!! Luckily, anyone who missed out could come back Christmas Day (and did).

We're back to our normal Thursday-Sunday trading but we will pick up NYE next Wednesday. Don't forget to order on our website for NYE.

Today, we're also getting products back to normal with Spanish Mackerel, Barramundi, Soft & Broken Prawns and fish wings back on the boards.

We want you to have the best seafood experience, so we recommend that you buy fresh, ready-to-eat products (like prawns, bugs and oysters) on 24 or 25 December for your Christmas Day feast.

But, we get it - some may want to skip the rush - so, today, we've stocked a bit extra for those early-comers.

Please make sure you have good refrigeration if buying early, and feel free to ask our team for storage tips.

Today was a big one for frozen product and we're expecting tomorrow (Sunday) to be the same.

We're getting lots of questions about holding fresh prawns and oysters over until Christmas Day…

We want you and your guests to have the BEST seafood experience so we suggest buying your fresh cooked prawns, bugs, sand crabs and fresh oysters on either 24 or 25 December.

We discourage buying fresh, ready-to-eat seafood on or before 23 December and trying to hold it until Christmas Day in a domestic fridge.

It all comes down to your fridge but oysters may not be at their best and prawns will lose quality.

And definitely don't throw whole fresh prawns into a domestic freezer - they will lose quality and texture.

We will be putting on a MASSIVE amount of fresh sales stock on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. No one missed out last year and we'll try to do the same again.
