There are still numerous power outages across the Whitsundays- while we would like to be able to provide you with some advice as to when the power will be restored we can’t - no one from Ergon Energy Network can or wants to tell us so for now the best we can do is provide you with the outage finder:

Thats about it. Well done to the overwhelming majority of the Whitsunday Community - you guys rock! It’s been a rockin’and rollin' 24 hours, Cyclone Koji has been and gone and is now dumping rain south of us and inland of us and its influence will continue for sometime both here in the Whitsundays and further afield for various reasons.

We will update if anything changes but its time for a break - and please remember “if its flooded forget it”
Cheers

NOTE: We are aware of at least 15 boats, both sailing vessels and motor vessels, that have washed up on Cannonvale Beach, Pigeon Island, the Whitsunday Sailing Club rockwall, New Beach, Bowen etc. We have chosen not to publish the footage etc out of respect for the owners who have lost, in some cases, what were their homes and all their possessions.
The emergency services have not advised of any injuries so far and
the Whitsunday Disaster Coordination Centre is requesting members of the public do not attempt to move or assist with these vessels.
Leave this work to trained crews and emergency services.
