Read the Write Book is an Albany based, sole trading online business with a 5-star rating on Google, Amazon and Facebook. I sell new & used books and related merchandise, as well as supporting self-published (Indie) Australian authors.

Due to photosensitivity, I cannot watch television, play video games or use an e-reader, so I spend most of my time reading. I devour around 1,000 books per year, and over time I have built quite a collection (around 30,000 or so books).

Due to my many medical issues and physical limitations, I have been unsuccessful in obtaining employment (even voluntary), so I started my own business in the form of an online bookstore with the help of my partner, carers and support workers (if no one will employ me, I’ll have to employ myself 🤷‍♀️).

So far I’ve managed to upload over 1,000 books on the website, with more becoming available every week. There’s a little bit of everything, from junior and adult fiction, to art and craft, cooking and self-help books. There are loads of old classics, rare, vintage, banned and out-of-print books as well.

All orders are packed using recycled materials and sent with tracking and insurance. Payments can be made via PayPal, eftpos, Afterpay or using a Zippay card.

Any support to help my small business would be truly appreciated. You don’t need to spend money buying books to support me. You could like and share this post, visit the website, tell others about it, or leave a review on Google or the business page (links below).

We support Indie Authors from around the globe and are always looking for ways to help Independently published authors to promote and sell their work without having to reach into their wallets. We sell books on consignment contract or bought directly from the author.

Eventually we hope to provide online writer workshops and forums for both readers and writers to share their love of literature. We hope to bring writers and readers together to help writers promote their art and assist readers in finding their next bookish love affair.
