Happy Halloween
Did you know Josh and Mel almost didn't happen ? 😱
After extending an offer to come host the podcast. Josh sourced artwork for our page and although amazing ( thank you Tristan Tait )
Mel thought that she may have been depicted as a deranged psychopath and that may limit potential warmth towards the show.
She also felt Josh came across as stupid and she knew he wasn't so was defensive on his behalf.
Josh mansplained to Mel that caricatures are supposed to be exaggerated versions of a person and didn't understand the problem.
( this didn't feel complimentary for Mel)
Mel didn't love red and was seeing Red. The cruisey co host Josh envisioned became a little bit more argumentative and that in turn raised a few red flags for him.
Lines were drawn, quite a few of them actually because poor Tait had to do numerous reworks.
Eventually we came to an agreement.
The agreement was that Josh realised he was wrong.
We all lived happily ever after.
Turns out the original confused picture of Josh probably suited our dynamic after all 😉
