Proud to announce that Audrey Napanangka, the documentary project Penelope McDonald been working on for the past decade, is in competition and premiering at this year's Sydney Film Festival
This is the story of Warlpiri woman, Audrey, and her Sicilian partner Santo as they navigate through western systems to keep the children they care for together. A story of love, family, culture and kinship.
We will be travelling to Sydney with Audrey and her family so they can celebrate the premiere of a movie that honours their journeys in life.
This film would not exist without the fierce friendship and trust Audrey has given to our team to amplify her voice and perspective.

Filmed over 10 years, the story of a Warlpiri woman, Audrey, and her journey with her Sicilian partner Santo to keep the children they’ve been bringing up together, despite the many challenges they face.
