Today, we planted Juni's placenta. Mum took charge, digging the hole and handling most of it, as I rushed off to pick up the kids from the bus stop and take them to indoor soccer. I didn't have much time for reflection 🫣, but I'm proud we made it this far - our fourth child and the first placenta to reach the earth! On my drive to Colac, I had time to think about my hopes for Juni (which I intended to write down and bury)

So here they are- I wish first and foremost she stays deeply true to herself and who she is. Never wavering or compensating for anyone.. Secondly I hope she finds a beautiful partner to navigate life with, who loves her, challenges her and yes treats her like a queen! Lastly I hope she sees the magic in everyday things, even in the small possibly insignificant things… ✨✨

My hopes for myself as her mother, is that I will be able to hold space for her exactly how she needs me to.. whatever that looks like, where ever she is in life, how ever she shows up..

I chose a purple camellia tree without realizing its symbolism until just now - love, devotion, and admiration for love ones. I guess everything worked out perfectly after all!
