Had a great time recording Colleen Ave over the past couple of months for their new EP. These guys are very talented, have great songs and were a pleasure to work with. Mixing has been progressional throughout the tracking so it’s not too far away from being wrapped up and released. First single “Weather The Storm” off the EP drops on Thursday. Be sure to check it out and support local original music.

Looking for a vocal chain to die for? At Brisbane Mix Studio we take vocal production very seriously and as such we have created not only a great vibe in our vocal booth but we also have a serious selection of microphones to hire with the room, such as the modern classic "Chandler REDD" tube LDC microphone, or the timeless sweet sound of a vintage "Neumann U87". We also have some other workhorse models like the AKG C414 and Shure SM7B and 57. For voiceover work it's hard to go past the industry standard "Sennheiser MKH416" shotgun mic.

We also have a mix of solid state and tube mic pre-amps available including vintage Auditronics 501 console channel strips, Dave Hill's Europa 1 which is super versatile or for more of a classic sound, the vintage Rola 77 MkII and Chandler REDD tube preamplifiers. Our ISO booth can also be used to record guitars and bass.
