Uncle Victor Wright, one of the founders of the Koori Knockout reflects on the growth of the game since it's establishment in 1971 🏉

Uncle Victor, alongside Bob Morgan, Bill Kennedy, Danny Rose and the late George Jackson formed the idea of a statewide all-Aboriginal football carnival at Redfern's Clifton Hotel, with the first Koori Knockout played at Camdenville Oval in Sydney.

From seven teams to more than 100 teams today, the Koori Knockout has grown to include women's and junior's, showcasing First Nations culture and sporting talent and is one of the largest annual gatherings for mob.
