Delivering TruBaby X
Paynesville Lions members gathered at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) Skills Laboratory to check out their most recent major donation to the hospital.
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service chief executive officer, Peter Abraham, the Learning Support and Development Team and the Medical Education Team were on hand to greet and brief members about their latest acquisition.
TruBaby X is a paediatric clinical skills training simulator that is ideal for nurses, anaesthetists and other emergency medical professionals to practice critical emergency medicine, including infant airway management.
The TruBaby X manikin, as Lions members discovered, is incredibly lifelike with the appearance, weight, size, and movement of a five-month-old infant.
Paynesville Lions president John Waller presented a cheque for $13,278.00 to BRHS chief executive officer, Peter Abraham. Funds were raised through the Paynesville Lions monthly market and various raffle activities, supported by a very generous dollar for dollar grant from the Australian Lions Foundation.
