From Omeo to Barcelona: Local Tennis Talent Heads to the World Stage

Listeners of REGFM, 3HCR High Country Radio in Omeo and 3MGB in Mallacoota got a special insight into the sporting journey of one of our own — Senior Treatment Operator Luke Missen.

Luke has been passionate about tennis for most of his life and is now preparing to represent Australia at the 2025 Para-Standing Tennis World Championships in Barcelona, Spain next month.

Earlier this year, Luke successfully defended his title at the Australian Para-Standing Championships in Melbourne. In 2024, he also took out first place in multiple national tournaments, cementing his position as one of the country’s top Para-Standing players.
