Following the tragic loss of two Marine Rescue Ballina volunteers and a yacht captain during a rescue operation at the Richmond River bar on 4 May 2026, our community is coming together to honour the courage of the volunteers and support the families of the victims.

Join Saltbush Bar & Grill, alongside Marine Rescue Ballina Unit Commander Peter Hill, Rotary Club of Ballina On Richmond and Ballina Mayor Cr Sharon Cadwallader, for a special fundraising lunch on Sunday, 21st June 2026.

We are seeking donations, pledges, raffle prizes and auction items to help support the families affected and restore this vital community rescue service.

🎨 Explore silk art at the Creative Artisan’s Gallery, Wigmore Arcade, River Street, Ballina.

From 1 June to 20 June, view the work of Artist of the Month – Kim Toft, whose silk paintings are inspired by the beauty of the region.

The exhibition features silk paintings, limited-edition prints, books, silk scrunchies, and scarves—ideal for art lovers and unique gifts.
