At some point late in construction (early 1935), before the maiden voyage, the decision was made to build these storm shutters onto the front of the forward facing Winter Garden windows. They don't appear on early plans. You can see the window guides being installed in the Getty photo. And the edge reveal can be seen in all of the later photos. Does anyone have any more detail?

I've been working on this 3D model for a long time, ever since I acquired the hull lines about 10 years ago. It has been a painstaking process, scouring the community for plans, but I finally think that I have a very good set of drawings for the hull. There is so much more to model!
