To the Fox,
Its hard to be writing this as a lifetime Bulldogs fan and someone who seeks the joy in sports as a important part of life.
I remember bumping into you a year before you signed asking you to come to our club. Part of it was because you were one of the best players in the league but the other part was because of who you were.
Your character, your infectious personality was PERFECT for a family club like ours. You came to us when no one else would. You began the transition from the mud to playing finals footy again. Week in week out you fronted the media in the ugliest losses in our clubs history. You copped all the flack and negativity. But you never stopped being a Bulldog.
You always put smiles on fans faces. I dont have to be in the sheds to know that you lightened up the mood for the players, staff and coaches. And for all that i want to say THANK YOU. My nephew, younger cousins, friends and family who support the dogs were always smiling when watching you.
It will hurt to have to watch you run out in different colours but i guess thats the nature of the sport.
Your work for your community and for the rugby league world doesnt go unnoticed. It will always be appreciated.
I wish you and your family all the best in your next chapter of your career and in life. Youse will always be welcome to the fans.
Thank you for supporting our platform and bringing us back to where we belong.
