I had such a fun time piecing together this lovely owl! The artwork, overall quality and whimsy pieces were great! So if you’ve been thinking about trying one of these wooden puzzles from Ravensburger I say go for it!

When piecing together a wooden puzzle I think it’s always fun to leave the whimsy pieces until last. How adorable are these whimsies in this ‘Mysterious Owl’ puzzle from ?! 🧩🦉😍

Having done a variety of wooden puzzles both from Australian and international brands, I was interested to see what the quality and puzzling experience would be like from Ravensburger. From what I’ve seen many quality wooden puzzles have often been created by smaller and more boutique companies. But I’m pleased to report that this lovely puzzle is great quality! 🙌

Although the presentation and packaging may not be as bougie as some smaller and boutique brands, it’s still perfectly adequate. They have even chosen a more environmentally conscious option of using a paper bag to store the pieces. Speaking of the pieces, the quality is quite good with a decent thickness of approx. 4mm. The printing looks well done without any chipping or peeling and is colourful and bright. And I like the touch of having a pattern printed on the reverse side. 👍

Overall I’ve been enjoying my first wooden puzzle from Ravensburger… and I’m looking forward to doing a few more waiting for me in my to-do pile! 🤭

Next up is this lovely wooden ‘Mysterious Owl’ puzzle from 🧩🦉🌼🍓

When I saw that Ravensburger had released some wooden puzzles of course I had to try and get ahold of some! However, it’s taken me a while to finally get to trying this pretty puzzle! 🫣

As a fan of wooden puzzles I’m definitely excited to try this one! There are some very nice and high quality wooden puzzle brands out there so it’s going to be interesting to see how this one holds up in comparison. 🔍🧐

So far I’m pleased to say that there are indeed some cute whimsy pieces! And interestingly the back of the pieces are decorated with a circular pattern. And at a glance the overall quality appears to be very good. 👍

Anyway, I’m excited to get going on this cute wooden puzzle snack! 😍

I really enjoyed piecing this puzzle together! I love the artwork! The colours are lovely and vivid and there’s lots of textural details both on the toucan and even amongst the leaves. The quality of the pieces is also really great. They are a nice thickness and the printing is nice and crisp. And of course one of my favourite things about wooden puzzles - the whimsies! And oh boy are there loads of them! 😍

I’ve really been loving piecing together this beautiful ‘Toucan’ wooden puzzle gifted to me from ! 🧩

Firstly I have to say that overall I’m really impressed with this puzzle. It’s my first time trying a puzzle from the brand EscapeWelt and so far I’ve been having a positive puzzling experience.

The quality of the pieces is great. They are reasonably thick making them easier to pick up. And the laser cutting is top-notch with practically zero scorching on the reverse side. The printing of the image also looks crisp and bright. 👍

As for the whimsy pieces there are so many adorable and pretty shaped pieces to discover! I really like that attention to detail has been given to the design of each whimsy piece - every piece has little details within it! 😍

It’s been so fun seeing this gorgeous toucan image come to life! I’m looking forward to sharing the final image with you!

Up next is this stunning ‘Toucan’ wooden puzzle from ! 🧩

EscapeWelt are known for their intricate and beautifully designed 3D wooden puzzles. However, they have recently released a range of gorgeous, shaped wooden puzzles. The designs include this toucan, a butterfly and a peacock - each is vivid and colourful, and full of beautiful details! Each design also comes in a range of piece counts.

I was super excited when this lovely toucan arrived! The puzzle pieces come packaged in a sturdy box with a magnetic closure and leather handle. Included is a small reference poster, a reusable drawstring bag for your pieces, and special adhesive in case you want to display your finished puzzle!

The pieces themselves look great! They are reasonably thick (approx. 4mm) and sturdy, and the printing of the image is crisp and bright. But I think the most exciting part is of course the abundance of wonderful whimsy pieces! 😍

This beauty has been sitting in my to-do pile(s) for a little while now so I figured it was time to show it some love!

I really love all the vibrant flowers and of course all the wonderful creatures hiding amongst them! I feel like this puzzle image also looks like it might be done in a collage style too.

I’ve been a bit under the weather this last week, but thankfully I’m starting to feel a bit more like my usual self. These bright and colourful flowers definitely help me feel better too and remind me of some of the gorgeous spring flowers I saw while I was in Japan! 😍

Loving all the pretty flowers and butterflies in this ‘USA State Flowers’ puzzle from 🧩🇺🇸💐

The vintage style illustrations and colours used in this puzzle image are just lovely! It’s also been very relaxing and satisfying puzzling my way through each type of flower. 😌

At first I thought this would be quite a difficult puzzle, but so far the flowers haven’t been too challenging. Although I think the map area will be a bit more tricky, but even that has a slight gradient in the background colour to help me out.

Up next is this very pretty ‘USA State Flowers’ puzzle from 🧩🇺🇸💐

Since we were going on a road trip of the USA in our last puzzle, I figured why not see some of the beautiful state flowers along the way?! 🌻😍

This lovely puzzle also has a collage style artwork similar to the previous puzzle. However this artwork is by the artist Wendy Gold. Just like the previous artwork though, this one also features a map overlaid with wonderful vintage style imagery!

I’m loving all the fun and quirky details (and cute critters) in this ‘Road Trip!’ puzzle from 🧩🗺️🚘

I like how the artist has used a mix of vintage imagery to create the artwork - including both colour and grayscale, as well as illustrative and some more photographic images. Overall, the image really gives great nostalgic Americana vibes! You can really imagine what a fun adventure it would have been to go on a grand road trip from one side of the US to the other while driving a stylish vintage car! 😍

Have you ever been on a road trip in the US? Or anywhere else for that matter? The closest I’ve come to a US road trip was driving down the west coast - from Seattle, Washington down to LA, California. As an Aussie it was a bit of a novelty seeing totally different scenery than what we have here and stopping at all sorts of interesting little towns (and big cities) on the way! 😀

Since I’ve been in a travelling mood recently it seemed appropriate that this wonderful ‘Road Trip!’ puzzle from would be up next! 🧩🗺️🚘

Thank you to Skittledog for kindly gifting me this puzzle. I was very excited when they asked if I’d like to try out their latest puzzle! You see, I’m quite a fan of their previous puzzle designs including their ‘Orient Express’ puzzle. Like this ‘Road Trip!’ puzzle, it also features a gorgeous, collage artwork by the artist Maria Rivans. 😍

I really love how Maria Rivans has used vintage imagery in both puzzles. The way she has arranged the vintage style Americana imagery along with the map in this ‘Road Trip!’ puzzle is so fun and interesting! The border of the puzzle is really neat too as it features stamps with flora and birds of each US state! I think this is definitely one of those puzzles where more and more details will be discovered along the way! 😀

As well as a great puzzle image, there’s also some really nice packaging happening here. Not only is the box beautifully designed and decorated with touches of silver metallic and a luxe matte linen finish, but it’s also a relatively compact size too. Inside the pieces come packaged in a simple, white paper bag and there’s also a generous sized reference poster. It’s also worth mentioning that the box itself is plastic free without any shrink wrap, etc. As for the pieces, they feel nice to the touch with a silky, smooth surface. Although depending on lighting there may be a little sheen. The back of the pieces is nice and simple with just a smooth, cardboard backing. 👍

I’m looking forward to sharing with you more of my puzzling experience (or should we say journey?) of this super fun-looking ‘Road Trip!’ puzzle!

Well regardless of if I’m ever allowed to leave the house again, it was fun piecing together all these amazing vintage travel images and reminiscing about some of the places I’ve traveled in North America! ☺️

I love all the colours and details in this puzzle image! And if you look closely you’ll even notice a bit of magic happening with some of the details coming to life! 😮😍

Even though I’m currently travelling (in Japan), seeing the images I took of this puzzle is really giving me that travel itch! 😅 I’d love to visit New Orleans one of these days. Can you spot any places on this puzzle that you’d like to visit (or even that you recommend)? 😀

This charming and beautifully detailed puzzle is by the talented ! I always enjoy puzzling Aimee’s artworks, but her bookshelf images are probably some of my favourites! I love the imagery of the vintage books plus there’s always so many fun, little knick-knacks to discover as well! 😍

The previous puzzle featured a library full of vintage books and collectable knick-knacks too… I wonder if there were any travel books hiding in there as well? Perhaps the library owners are even friends and lend each other wonderful vintage books from time to time! Or perhaps I’m a little too invested in this vintage library fantasy?! 🙃😅
