This is a very wonderful and informative film we made for AGNSW. For some reason they never really promoted it. We thought we’d share it again as so many people seem to be dealing with this disease.

Follow an innovative and heartwarming program as people with dementia and their loved ones and carers experience the joy of Art at the Art Gallery of NSW

Some terrific photos of former Picture Palaces on display at THE LAST PICTURE SHOW
Snapshot Gallery
29 November 2024 – 9 March 2025 When we screened The Man from Coxs River it was a step back in time to bring the film to some iconic cinemas in Australia and New Zealand, sadly none standing from the exhibition but The Film Seen (which sadly has wrapped up this year) hosted a screening at the Civic Centre.

“The Last Picture Show tells the stories of the many cinemas, picture shows, and theatres that entertained the St George region during the 20th century, and the social and technological changes that transformed them.

Through historic photographs drawn from the Georges River Local Studies collection, this exhibition explores the history and growth of the suburban cinema industry from its earliest days to the 1980s. “
