The Miner Museum! Last weekend, Trip Wyeth, (far right in photo) of AcousticMusic.Org, and I visited Gregg Miner and his incredible private museum of extremely rare musical instruments, now based in Connecticut https://www.facebook.com/gregg.miner.92 Gregg is the foremost authority on harp guitars, and included in his one of a kind collection are several harp ukuleles. The one I’m holding in the photo was made by Knutsen. Thanks Gregg and Jaci for the unforgettable tour!

Interested in helping preserve the history of recorded sound in Hawaiʻi?

The Hawaiʻi State Archives is currently seeking volunteers to help process their Hawaiian Music Collection. Comprised of over 25,000 audio recordings and other artifacts, volunteers are tasked with cleaning, indexing, and digitizing these records so Hawaiian music enthusiasts around the world may access and enjoy a timeline rich in musical innovation and storytelling.

Volunteers are expected to have basic computer fluency, an eye for detail, and a willingness to learn foundational audio production techniques. Training will be available to support these practices. A minimum of 2 hours a week is required for this role which is carried out at the Public Archives on ʻIolani Palace grounds. Flexible scheduling Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm is available on a first come, first served basis.

For more details and to apply, please see our volunteer page at https://ags.hawaii.gov/archives/volunteer-at-the-archives/

Me and Bill. The debut of William H. Macy's new live variety show, "Bill's Room," in Basalt, Colorado was a big success. In my set I performed "I Don't Want To Drink Alone" which I wrote for Bill to sing and strum in his 2003 Showtime series "Out of Order." He also came out and joined me on "At The Magic Laundromat" which he sang on "The Finer Things" album, a collection of songs I'd written with Herb Ohta Sr. Here we are at a rehearsal with his koa Flea and my koa Fluke.

So cool to see at a special screening of “Wayne’s World” in Sydney last night! As well as being a great actress, she’s a Grammy-winning singer who often collaborates with my mate ! The second pic is the three of us at in 2017! 😁🎶❤️
