Ako Ne Znaš Šta Je Bilo well on the weekend Marko Petkovic Thompson and his team pulled off the biggest and best concert the world has ever seen.

504,000 people, creating a world record and more than doubling the previous record holder of 220,000 by Italian artist Vaso Rossi in 2017. The world record is for the biggest audience purchasing a ticket for a single artist’s concert.

The technology used was state of the art, the drone display was absolutely stunning.

What a thrill for our very own Australian representatives Steven Tivanovac, Charles Billich Gallery and Majestic Film to be there as part of the crew.

Looking forward to much more footage of this history making concert that will never be forgotten in Croatian history.

The largest ticketed concert in the history of mankind is just a few hours away - and we are very envious of everyone who has the opportunity to experience this once in a lifetime event.

500 000 people will join him in singing about the three great Croatian loves: our love of God, our homeland and our families.

There will always be those who would seek to stigmatise him and his music, but what they are really afraid of is the awakening of the Croatian spirit : one that runs counter to modern, leftist, so called "progressive" narratives.

His music reinvigorates a celebration of tradition, virtue and sacrifice. Of course some will say he's just got catchy songs, but we know it's more than that, his music typifies all the very best of Croatia and gives an outlet for our desire to express our love for her. If his music can inspire the next generation to live nobly, holding on to their traditions and beliefs, then he will have done what few can claim to have done. The fact that this celebration of Croatian values is so large can only give us hope for the future.

Thompson spoke a few days ago ahead of the concert so give this a listen.

As we countdown to the record breaking, history making, world’s biggest ever ticketed concert on July 5 by Marko Perković Thompson, we play old and new Thompson tunes on the show tonight.

We also reminisce about Cro2000’s Thompson encounters over the years.

2000 Thompson dials us live in the studio from Croatia for an over the phone interview.

2001 Thompson comes for an interview together with Mate Bulić and Tiho Orlić in the studio in Burwood while on a tour of Croatian clubs.

2005 prior to the Sydney Entertainment Centre show a press conference is held where then Cro2000 members Ivica, Mile and Robert attended.

2011 Thompson wasn’t touring Croatia that summer but through one grapevine that lead to another that lead to Thompson, he heard about a then 7 year old with Down syndrome who is a big fan from Australia. So the message came back to come to this venue in Split on this day and time and Thompson wants to meet Adam Grabovac. We didn’t believe it would happen but true to his word, he showed up and spent time with Adam.

2016 Thompson’s last tour of Australia, Hordern Pavillion, Adam is ushered backstage after the show and Thompson again before he spends time greeting anyone else, gives Adam his time to speak and take photos and sign anything he wants.

Back in 2011 and 2016 we had no idea Adam would be a DJ on CRO2000, now on air since 2021 and yes is still a massive Thompson fan.
