Nice write up by Tim Humphrey for Chubby! vol.5. Records due end of February!

"Australian House & Techno label Chubby! submits their 6th release to very favourable opinions. Two strong veteran producers are highlighted here with each having a side to shine and then each having one of the two remixed. On side A, Irish producer Al Smith opens thing's up with the beautiful strings of 'Drama Room' that are up to par of say B12 or As One. That is high praise no doubt! 'Full of Music' is primed for many dancefloor moments where it can be the soundtrack. We have no doubt you will have a hard time not playing this time after time. Pure house magic! If you want the vibe to get a little seedier then check Chicago's Specter remix as he flips 'Full of Music' into a heavy late-night 90s burner. For the B-side, enter a legendary underground name and one of Switzerland's first techno act's Dan Piu. Dan has been very busy of late, and the quality stays strong as shown here with 'Day's Gone' & 'Snows of Solaris'. The latter is a beautiful moody interlude with spacey bleeps and deep bass notes that are perfect for an analogue pressing. 'Snows of Solaris' has all the intention of a prime track, Detroit style. Surely it will give some techno veterans memories of sounds like Silent Phase (Stacey Pullen) or early Morgan Geist. Heady company that any producer would be thrilled to share the same sentence with. And we don't use those comparison's lightly here at Chubby! Listen for yourself. Rai Scott is called on to bring a different perspective of 'Day's Gone' to glowing reviews turning it into a deep voyage into the abyss. An amazing interpretation that brings the EP to a memorable close. Chubby! #6 has more depth than your average full length. Dan Piu and Al Smith shine strongly here."
