The DCD program is all about the Win-Win-Win:
- Each dog is a rehomed or rescue dog
- Each dog is trained by an inmate
- Each dog is gifted at no cost, to an ADF veteran suffering from PTSD.
Defence Community Dogs are trained by specially selected inmate handlers which helps enable consistent and dedicated training, with expert supervision from our professional dog trainers.
DCD Assistance Dogs will mirror this dedication to their Veteran.
None of the inmates who have graduated dogs in the program have re-offended.

Aussie actor Julian McMahon, best known for his work in Nip/Tuck, Charmed, Fantastic Four & FBI, has sadly passed away at the age of 56. The actor died after a private battle with cancer.

(His father was Billy McMahon, who served as Prime Minister of Australia from 1971 to 1972.)
