Double demerit points are rolling out across NSW and the ACT for 12 festive days, from Wednesday 24 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, inclusive.

This applies to offences including speeding, illegal mobile phone use, seatbelt offences, and helmet non-compliance, with a much higher risk of licence suspension. Keep in mind that mobile phone detection cameras are active in NSW and the ACT and drivers caught using their phones during a double demerit period will be hit with a $423 fine ($562 in a school zone) and 10 demerits.

Please give yourself plenty of time to travel, obey speed limits, drive to the conditions, wear your seatbelt, avoid distractions, and make sure you’re well rested. If you’ve consumed alcohol or drugs, don’t drive.

Stay safe on the roads.

The new Harvey Norman Bathurst store is up and running … and the B-Rock team will be there for the grand opening this Saturday (20th Dec) from 9 till midday, catch up with Damo and Jenson as they broadcast live all morning … you can drop in and explore the new store with massive savings on TVs, Computers, Phones, Bedding, Furniture, small appliances and a heap more … it’s the biggest event of the year – just in time for Christmas!

UPDATE!

🔘 TERRORISM INCIDENT DECLARED

The NSW Police Commissioner has confirmed that 12 people have now been killed with a further 29 injured, including two police officers, who are in a serious condition this evening.

"We know that there were many people there to celebrate a happy occasion — the celebration of Hanukkah. And there was well over 1,000 people there when this took place.

"As a result of the circumstances of the incident tonight, at 9:36pm this evening, I declared this to be a terrorist incident."
