We’ve got the spotlight ready. Is it your time to shine?!

BMEC is seeking aspiring songwriters to join us at our fabulous, annual Regional Songwriting Contest.

Your song will be backed by a live band made up of five leading Bathurst musicians and special guests. Songwriters will perform their own songs (solo, duo or trio max).

We’re looking to unearth new and exciting talent from the Central West of NSW. If you call Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Lithgow, Mid-Western, Cabonne, Orange, Cowra, Weddin, Forbes, Parkes or Lachlan shire home, this contest is for you!

Two winners will be crowned – one by the panel, and one by audience vote – each receiving a weekend studio recording package. Plus, there's a People’s Choice Award up for grabs!

Mon 7 July 2025 – Finalists announced
