Tonight we are featuring the awesome new track from a Sydney band that was formed by two strangers who met on Facebook and a pair of uni class mates. GRXCE has followed up the resounding success of their last track ‘spit it out’ with ‘shirt song’ as an look at the level or lack of intimacy we find in the more casual of relationships. When I found out that this week's Spotlight Artist was a classically trained cellist who had decided to go a completely different direction I knew we were in for a treat. The one and only Alice Hurwood has just released the final single from her much awaited full length album and ‘Middle Car Seat’ is the perfect end piece to the project. Her style is warm, a little quirky and full of heart and captures the bitter sweetness of falling for a friend and being rejected.

Whoever said that you have to be on the same continent to produce great music needs to be introduced to The Valery Trails and their latest single Everything is Temporary. The band started working together when a quarter of them were living in Texas and the rest in Brisbane but have since united to work on their next album Winter Palace. 'Everything is Temporary' has their trademark jangling Indi rocker sound and pokes a bit of fun at the pointless nostalgia many bands tend to sing about when they get to a certain age.

Tonight's Spotlight Artist is something refreshing to help chase away those winter worries. ‘Clear Air’ is the second single from South Australian band StoneHutt coming in on the heels of ‘Water and Stone’ from earlier this year. The song showcases the band's blend of multiple rock genres with a bit of country thrown in for seasoning.
