Over a million moments ago I started this because I believed in what you had to say, and now I’m ending it, having finally found my own voice and belief in what I have to say…

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this podcast over the years. It’s been an honour to share these countless little moments with you all.

But now it’s time. The final episode of The Lui Diaz Podcast drops on the 31st of December 2025.

When the last episode I make reference to the number 555 tattooed on my guests arm. The moment I exported the episode I looked at the time and it was 5:55. Since there’s no such thing as coincidence I decided to look at the meaning of the number 555. It said:

“The 555 angel number signifies major positive changes, personal growth, freedom, and transformation is on the horizon, encouraging you to embrace new opportunities and make bold decisions as the universe supports your journey towards adventure, discovery, and better fortune, including potential breakthroughs in finance or relationships. It’s a powerful sign to let go of the old, step into your authentic self, and trust that these shifts lead to good things.”

God bless you all and have an amazing 2026

Chris Franklin is an Australian comedy legend behind the platinum-selling parody Bloke.

In Episode 78 of The Lui Diaz Podcast, Lui sits down with Chris to chat about his platinum-selling parody single Bloke and his serendipitous journey from Navy cook to comedy icon. The conversation traces his life’s ups and downs, from battling alcohol issues and living on his cousin’s floor to winning the Raw Comedy competition and almost haphazardly achieving fame.

Show Notes for Ep 73 with

Setting the Scene: Recorded in one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways, near Culture Kings and a drug rehab facility, capturing the area’s unique blend of characters and affluence (00:00:09 - 00:01:36).

Adem’s Background: Adem shares his Turkish heritage and his mischievous side, joking about stealing a shirt in Bali and performing at an open mic to “earn” it (00:02:30 - 00:03:02).

Uber Days and Social Media Hustle: Adem recounts his time as an Uber driver, the decline of Uber’s customer service, and his bold (and hilarious) attempts to grow his YouTube channel by asking passengers to subscribe (00:03:06 - 00:12:09).

Self-Compassion Journey: Adem opens up about moving away from self-criticism and debating as a vice, inspired by psychologist Michael J. Greenberg’s ideas on rumination vs. problem-solving (00:24:21 - 00:26:07).

Thanks for subscribing to The Lui Diaz Podcast!

In this wild, tangent-filled ride in Episode 72 of The Lui sits down with Kiwi comedian in Melbourne’s Hosier Lane for a two-hour chat that’s equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and chaotic. Recorded during the Melbourne Comedy Festival, this episode captures Dan’s unfiltered energy as he shares his journey from procrastinating stand-up for a decade to taking big swings in the UK comedy scene. The conversation zigzags through topics like stretching leather boots, losing a Mario-themed Casio watch, and the art of reframing losses as wins. Lui and Dan dive deep into personal growth, relationships, and the hero’s journey, all while riffing on everything from German backpackers to neon signs. It’s a raw, real, and ridiculously fun episode that proves why Lui’s podcast is a must-listen for comedy fans and dream-chasers alike.
