Jason Mark – Listening To Country Music On The Radio

“Listening to Country Music” was inspired from memories of time spent in the back shed listening to the radio playing country classics.

Favourite shows like Saturday Night Country and the Country Music Countdown always gave me plenty of songs to sing along with.
This song captures those moments reflects an aspect of Australian life whether on farms or in backyards right across this great country.

I hope this song connects with people who like to sing along with the chorus as well as those who find joy in the simple act of listening to country music.

Jason Mark is an Australian country music singer whose classic country sound capture his life experiences and celebrate the stories and characters that make Australia truly unique.

Victoria McGee & Sisters of Gunsmoke - Cry of a Crocodile

***Available NOW at Radio CRS-DD1218***

Acclaimed Australian country artist Victoria McGee returns with her latest single, “Cry of a Crocodile,” a heartfelt tribute to the late Steve Irwin, honouring his enduring legacy as a beloved wildlife warrior.

What makes this release even more special is that Victoria, a veteran of the Australian country music scene, is joined by her sister LucyLou, a talented singer-songwriter who made her mark performing alongside some of the industry’s biggest names throughout the 1990s. Together, the sisters bring a moving blend of experience, heart, and harmony to the stage.

LucyLou penned “Cry of a Crocodile” by weaving together pieces from several poems she had written over the years about Steve Irwin. The song marks the sisters’ official debut as part of Victoria’s newest project — Sisters of Gunsmoke, featuring Victoria McGee and LucyLou.

The single captures the profound sense of loss felt around the world the day Steve Irwin passed, while celebrating the extraordinary legacy he left behind — one that continues to inspire Australians and wildlife lovers across the globe.
The sisters have received warm support from the Irwin family and Australia Zoo, and in true Irwin spirit, Sisters of Gunsmoke will give back by donating a portion of sales and royalties from “Cry of a Crocodile” to Wildlife Warriors, supporting ongoing wildlife conservation efforts.

Andy Penkow – Cry Of The Koala

Four-time CMAA Golden Guitar nominee Andy Penkow has unveiled his powerful new single, Cry of the Koala. A heartfelt tribute to one of Australia’s most beloved yet endangered native animals, the track aims to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect the Koala’s dwindling habitat.

As a proud Brand Ambassador for the Australian Koala Foundation, Andy hopes the song will inspire action. “I absolutely love nature and animals,” Andy shares. “When the Australian Koala Foundation approached me to become their Brand Ambassador three years ago, I didn’t hesitate. What many people don’t realise is that the Koala is disappearing fast, with around 80% of its natural habitat already destroyed due to deforestation. Koalas have no voice—so we need to be their voice and fight for their rights.”

Co-written with fellow Golden Guitar nominees Kath Stewart and Rip-Van Parks, Cry of the Koala was born from a shared passion for storytelling and conservation. “I had the privilege of working with Kath and Rip-Van on The Lone Drover last year and loved the creative process,” Andy explains. “This time, we wanted to create something truly special for the Australian Koala Foundation.”

Produced by the acclaimed Steve Newton at ENREC Studios, Cry of the Koala is a beautifully crafted bush ballad that blends tradition with a contemporary edge. Listeners will hear clear influences of legendary Australian country icons Slim Dusty, John Williamson, and Allan Caswell, while the track’s heartfelt lyrics and sweeping melodies carry a message of hope and urgency.

The Australian Koala Foundation continues its vital work in long-term conservation and the effective management of wild Koalas across the country. Penkow’s moving tribute serves as both a rallying cry and a celebration of one of Australia’s most iconic species.

Cry of the Koala is available now on all major streaming platforms.
