Emergency services are responding to a single-vehicle crash on the Monaro Highway at Rock Flat, 10 kilometres north of Nimmitabel.

The crash occurred just before 3PM.

A man is his 50s, who is the sole occupant of the vehicle, is being assessed by paramedics.

The vehicle is not blocking the roadway, but motorists in the area are advised to slow down and excercise caution.

Country Women's Association branches from across the NSW far south coast met in Bega this week to discuss ways to improve access to rural health care.

Six CWA branches from Eden to Bodalla attended the roundtable event on Wednesday, along with Bega MP Dr Michael Holland, Brad Scotcher from the Southern NSW Local Health District, Philippa Fetterplace from COORDINARE and Rachel Paterson from the Bega Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Chair of the event, Bega CWA member Yvonne Cole, said while a variety of issues were raised, discussions also focused on solutions.

"We often hear of the standard issue with accessing a local GP, the wait times for surgery, the problem with the continuity of care but then we sort of tried to look at the solutions as well," she said.

Bega Valley resident Glenn Cotter from the Healthy Communities Foundation Australia also attended.

He said it was important to hear people share their experiences and realise many communities are facing similar challenges.

"I was encouraged by the bravery of people to have an open conversation about what was happening, and to see other people in the room say that's happening around our area as well," he said.

"I think it's brought the community together in the fact that they are all sharing common issues."

The issues raised at the roundtable will now be compiled into a report to be shared with local branches and presented to the CWA NSW Social Issues Committee.

UPDATE: 7AM, Friday 4 September

Firefighters will continue working to contain an 11-hectare bushfire on Big Jack Mountain Road, near Rocky Hall, today.

Around 40 Rural Fire Service and National Parks firefighters will be supported by two aircraft at the fireground between the Towamba River and South East Forest National Park.

The RFS says there is currently no threat to residents, but is urging the community to remain vigilant, monitor conditions and stay up to date with the latest information.

Cuttagee Bridge, south of Bermagui, has been targeted with graffiti for a second time in a fortnight.

The latest act of vandalism on the historic timber bridge is thought to have occurred on Wednesday night between 8PM and 10PM.

The message includes profanity.
